I continue to exclude the Masters here. That's something players love being a part of. It's an event -- an exclusive club people want to be a part of and draws attention and eyeballs that the rest of the Golf season largely just "doesn't".

Team stuff aside like the Ryder Cup I think most of the guys care about the 4 majors the Players and Jack and Arnie's tournaments. The rest some have a good payday the other stuff the field never was all that anyway. Greed is going to kill the guy I'm afraid.

Can't foresee the day any player would turn down the greatest event in golf.

Slightly off topic, but relevant. And I don't think it's been mentioned here yet...

The DOJ is actually investigating the PGA Tour for antitrust violations in relation to LIV golf...so things are lousy and will continue to be lousy if you're any kind of fan.

Again, I'd have 100% agreed with this...before Stenson threw away being the Ryder Cup captain. Now, I think anything is possible.

Most of them are never going to play at the Masters or other Majors anyway, they won't qualify without World ranking points. And even if they were not banned, they wouldn't play enough on the PGA or DP Tour, LIV are going to play more and more events starting next year. And I can't see those primadonnas wanting to start paying their own way to tournaments again. And 72 holes, no way.

Exactly, and it's funny and ironic now that some of the LIVers are considering joining the Asian Tour to get the points needed to qualify for majors. Guess that "more time with family and less golf" reasoning wasn't entirely genuine...

The Ryder Cup has not been the same since they expanded the enemy's roster. I understand why they had to do it but to me it lacks what it used to have. Ryder Cup is not the Masters.

They should all brag like DeChambeau, 115M is a little low and I got lots of it up front. They would look less hypocrite and stupid than trying to sell those events as great golf tournaments with a Ryder Cup atmosphere.

Obviously it's about the money nothing else. Well maybe a junior type of tournament like kids baseball where you only play 7 innings. I don't blame these guys for taking the money but it will kill the game if some kind of agreement isn't reached.

Thinking of it... thought I read somewhere earlier this year the Asian Tour is finance in part by LIV Golf. Makes perfect sense, Norman will be able to provide all expenses paid for those wanting to join those tournaments. Just knocked off the jabronis trying to make a living on the Asian Tour, and includes the real LIV superstars so they can get their world ranking points.

I also wonder what will happen to the LIVers who get bumped off by these other guys joining before each event.

So like now that Stenson, CH III, and Kokrak joined for the next event, that means three of the 48 who played in previous events just get kicked to the curb? Weird.

I'm feeling quite comfortable in predicting that The Masters will invite and accept any/all golfers, per their normal operational guidelines..
But their normal guidelines include *some* things that LIV players (currently) aren't eligible for such as world ranking points and a few events for them to potentially play in and win to earn an invite.
