Not really a question for Chase (but I appreciate it!) and more of an observation: the 2K21 marketing was much more about the tour. The trailer for this game is more about swag and drip and whatever, and I bet that’s a tacit admission they know that pro golf fans will be heading to EA when that comes out next year.

Excited for the return of the 3 click swing. As much as I would like to have the game 3 days early the cosmetic stuff is just not worth it. $70 edition for me.

Trailer didn’t blow me away by any means but I get that they are catering to a younger audience…

But Tiger and his Nike swag… give it to me!!!

And 20 courses seems like a great start with hopefully a few more added later.

3-click, playable Tiger and Jordan, casuals are going to love that. And they have Finau and some of the women too, lots of diversity there, not just an old white boomer game. Very well done.

I notice they added VC to the game (of course they did), but please tell me they aren't making the career character like in NBA where you have to grind your attributes.

Wish there was a little more mentioned about Career Mode but hopefully more information will be made known in the coming weeks prior to release.

Nice to see that outside of Augusta, courses can appear in both games.

Will there be an option to have the Tour commentary team in play now mode instead of “John” ?

That would add a ton to the game for me.

Just digesting all this, but here are some first impression thoughts...

The Good:
- playable pros, including female golfers (and a decent list at that)
- caddies are in
- 3-click swing included
- 20 courses, including some not in the US
- sounds like lots of brands/gear (Nike, Scotty Cameron to me are the big adds)
- new objects are added to the course designer
- playable Michael Jordan? OK!


The Bad
- looks slightly better graphically, but probably not the jump most are hoping for
- not a surprise, but a big focus on the "casual" side of things
- very little in terms of career mode details
- no cross-play

The Ugly
- I don't like the sounds of "consumable golf ball sleeves"...has the same feel as WGT mobile game stuff in terms of DLC
- DLC costs rising...the Premium+ Clubhouse Pass pack is $5 more/season than the one in 2K21
- the trailer they posted to Twitter...has no audio. Typical.

Still sorting thru the info at all the different info in all the different places, but this is what I picked up off the bat.

The only thing that scares me a little is the list says common consumable golf ball sleeve. Hopefully these are just purely cosmetic and there won’t be a “pay to win” aspect of the game

20 courses isn’t bad at all.

I believe EA will also be right around that number so if you buy both, you have roughly 40 courses all together!
