I get that they want to connect with the "youths" and such...but I don't care for this really. It's gonna be a very divisive thing.

Considering how the initial teaser was, I’m not surprised. Never thought I’d see the day were enough people saw YouTube channels as a “celebrity” doesn’t bother me though as I’ll never play as them.

Doesn't work for me unless I can play with David Portnoy. Do you ever get the feeling you are no longer the target audience? Guess I'll have to break down and get a PS5 for the other game. If I can find one.

Yep. This game has me feeling quite old, and like it wasn't made for me, TBH...

Would you say the visuals on performance mode are poor compared to 2k21 or about the same?

It's a tough call... the graphics, especially the trees are significantly more detailed and organic looking in 2K23. Along with that they're not quite as crisply defined, and as a result, look a little more blurred. I would definitely give the overall nod to 2K21 looking better than 2K23 in Performance mode. Having said that, I prefer the greater variety and details of trees, bushes, and course objects in 2K23, even in performance mode.

I'll say this... I don't think 2K23 looks all that much better in Quality mode than it does in Performance mode. If you popped two of them side by side and gave me 3 seconds to tell you which one was quality and which was performance, I couldn't tell you. I really have to study the image to spot the difference.

I find the game unplayable in Quality mode so it's not an issue worth my worrying about. OTOH, it's quite playable in performance mode, although I think it could be even more responsive that what it delivers. There's still a noticeable bit of lag in the swing, but it's nowhere near game breaking. I think the Unity engine has reached its limit with what they're trying to do with this game in 4K.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure whether to buy or wait for sale. If I buy I don’t know what platform is best. Multiple reports of Series X issues on quality mode. Some saying PS5 is running really well on both quality & performance but with some tearing. Mine field….??

Don't have or want a gaming rig. With the number of games I play nowadays EA would have to really put out something special for me to even think about upgrading to current gen.

Question for the guys who have put a little time into the game already. What kind of greens in regulation numbers are you seeing as opposed to 2k21?

Any chance you could please test if the career mode is available offline and what other modes are available offline. I'm moving soon and to say the Internet is patchy is putting it mildly I don't want to waste money on games that require persistent connections (rules me out of the upcoming Warhammer Inquisitor Martyr release) so I'd really appreciate a heads up. Thanks!

I'm a little bit better at GIRs in 2K23. The chief reason is the long and middle irons don't run quite as hot as they do in 2K21. I have about the same amount of left and right misses. For some reason, I tend to pull mid to short irons when my tempo is good, but when I slow my backswing in an attempt to negate the pull, I tend to slice the ball with slow tempo. I need to spend some time on the range working on this!

My golfer stands closer to the ball than I would in real life and I'm subconsciously making adjustments that result in a pull, I'm thinking.

The clubhouse pass went live today, and wow. Ive seem some really bad anti consumer passes but only ten tiers for free? Out of almost 50 for premium. Don’t see a lot of people buying this.

Pro, I'm happy when I can break par playing Pro so far in this game! I shot at 64 playing Pro-Am for the first time. I haven't even tried Master yet.

Question, can you use Michael Jordan, Tiger, etc. in the Topgolf mode? When I go to Topgolf, it always goes back to my player character.
