    This made my day:

"I also am happy to mention that tournaments no longer will end in ties. The realistic playoff formats you would assume to be there (sudden death and aggregate) do now exist, and you will no longer have to deal with ties."

And the day got even better:

"...those “fill-in” tournaments that existed in PGA Tour 2K21 can now be edited by you so you can bring in custom courses to fill those spots if you want to. In other words, the official tournaments will stay where they are and can’t be changed, but you have the creative license to play around with the other tournaments that are not real and tweak them to your liking."

Never thought they'd be able to do this! Wow!

        Things sound good!

The graphical comment is a bit of a let down as I was hoping for a bit more for the PS5/Series X.

Like the idea of strengths and weaknesses for golfers and this is something I had posted about years ago. Career mode having customization is great news.

Overall, sounds like it should be a fun game of golf and looking forward to the release.

If courses get ported over from 2K21, I am sure that a full, real-life PGA Tour schedule will be able to be replicated. Or at least get really, really close.

It will be interesting to see if there are limitations of any kind. But this is very, very promising. And the fact that playoffs are in, and ties are out, just add to this. Career Mode seems to be getting the love we all wanted.

Now, just please have cleaned it up and taken out the bugs!

I for one am now super happy...no ties, and being able to insert the 4 major courses instead of the fake tournaments. HUGE.

This is a bit of a negative for me, however...

"...one pain point that does still seem to be there from the past involves the penalty drops system being unchanged from 2K21."

I don't think it's going to work that way... you won't be able to replace the 4 major fake tournaments to win those trophy. All licensing I'm sure. It's the other fill-in you will be able to replace with whatever courses you want. That's the way I read it.

I don't know...the OS preview didn't specify anything other than the fact that:

"...official tournaments will stay where they are and can’t be changed, but you have the creative license to play around with the other tournaments that are not real and tweak them to your liking."

That doesn't differentiate the majors or anything. I guess we will see. But I will say...there is a clear ANGC-inspired course they show in the trailer:

This was my take as well. If there are 4 non real tournaments (I believe there are a lot more than 4), why couldn't we chose the best created versions of the 4 majors and swap them out with the non real courses? The dates won't line up with real life I'm sure, but hopefully we can get pretty close with Masters in the spring, etc and at least space them out fairly closely to where they would fall within the season.

I'm super excited about everything I'm seeing. Yes, the graphics are still Unity, but they certainly seem to have been improved, and with caddies, multiple players on the course at a time in groups, sudden death, etc, it's turned out to be even more than my modest wishes. I can't wait.
