Is it really to much to ask for a mulligan option when you're in casual round?

Re: PGA Tour 2K23 Patch 1.06 Adds Torrey Pines North and South Courses and More - Pat
Played a round with my buddy last night. He plays on the ps4, I’m on the ps5. The hitch was horrendous for me, non existent for him. I switched to the left stick and no hitch. But it’s like learning to walk again it feels so different. So my buddy decides he will also switch sticks to see how it goes. The second he switched to the left stick, he starts to hitch. I found that to be interesting.
I wonder if I should uninstall the ps5 version and go with the PS4 version.Comment

It's frustrating to see so many of you having the hitch and other problems. I'm on PS5, my buddy I play with was on PS4 and now PS5, and neither of us have ever had a single problem with the hitch, crashing, or anything else. He just got a PS5 and he still has never had any issues. Very odd indeed.
Can anyone else confirm that with this latest patch that they seem to have made splash shots out of green side bunkers less punishing? I haven't had time to play with the new patch yet. That would be great news if they tweaked that.Comment

No hitch now using the ps4 controller. Game looks pretty much tue same as the ps5 version too.Comment

That's good to hear it's working for you. And yea, it's very frustrating to me as a PS5 owner that there really isn't much difference in the look on PS4 vs PS5.
They absolutely have to go nex-gen engine if they decide to stay in the game space next time. I'm thinking they will either bow out depending on how well the EA game does, but if they do decide to make a go of it, they are going to have to completely rebuild the game in FrostBite or whatever.Comment

Boy have I been out of it... I've had a miserable chest cold since Thursday and it took away be desire for any gaming or any foruming until last night. I downloaded the update and didn't notice any difference right away in my Society round. I still got the usual inexplicable lags and inconsistent swing animation.
I'll have to try out the new courses. I want to see a fully trimmed out Torrey Pines, North and South course.
I tell you what though, until they add in a 1080p/60 FPS option for the Series X version of the game as an update, I'm going to only play the one Society of which I'm a member on the XBox, and do the rest of my PGA TOUR 2K23 gaming on my PC, where I can enjoy the game with a steady 60 FPS, even if it is at 1080p. I'm able to use an FSR Sharpening level of 90% in 1080p, with and object detail level of 75%, and still maintain a solid 60 FPS. It's not that much of as step down visually, IMO, but it's more than worth whatever sacrifice is there to get that solid 60 FPS.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

The Torrey courses are OK...honestly, they feel like typical HB official courses. Some harsh sculpting in the bunkers and the cart paths look odd in places, but it's nice to have more courses included, and to have them added into career.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Post patch the exchanges and upgrades on the fittings have been absolutely awful. I've done quite a few this is not a small sample size.Comment

Newly earned fittings are broken post-patch, including ones you get via upgrades and exchanges. Per discussion on Discord, the NextMakers have reported it, but no word from the devs on a fix or if this actually is a bug and not an intentional nerf.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 12-05-2022, 01:02 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Well I wasn't going to use them anyway so no harm no foul I accumulate them all of the time.Comment

See this image that someone put together on Twitter:
Basically, anyone who's already had a bunch of fittings is at a distinct advantage to anyone who is either new to the game, or is just accumulating their fittings now.Orbis Non SuficitComment

So I skipped ahead to my next MyCareer season to see how Torrey Pines gets included in the schedule.
The Farmers Insurance Open is placed in Week 7 of the season. But it seems only Torrey Pines South is used in the event, not Torrey Pines North. The event listing just says "Torrey Pines South". In reality, players split the first 36 holes between the North and South Courses, then play the final 36 holes on the South Course.
I did notice that the Torrey Pines North course has been added to the curated list of courses that can be swapped into the career mode schedule. However, Torrey Pines South has not been added for some reason.Orbis Non SuficitComment

The situation with the fittings has to be intentional. How could making small changes like fixing the splash and fringe putting break something else in the game?Comment
