Go to the Settings menu (the one that shows up when you push "Options" on your controller) -> Social - > change the Cross-Platform Play toggle to "On"Orbis Non SuficitComment

Normally you can find the designer on TGC or on a play through on YT. Would have been nice if they had brought back the view other courses. Too hard to do I guess.Comment

Yep, chipping on the green has already turned me off ranked lol. Needs to be addressed, and the simplest fix is just make it putter only on the green. There’s no putt I’ve come across where I couldn’t make it with my putter anywayComment

Interesting...Top of the Rock, the 9-hole, par-3 course is part of ranked matchmaking's course rotation.Orbis Non SuficitComment

I totally forgot about the consumable golf balls in the game, since I never use them. But it's clear most folks who play ranked are for sure using them in these matches.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA Tour 2K23 Adds Crossplay and Ranked Matchmaking
I tried a match last night. It actually works well. I wish difficulty could be modified though. That was first time in a long time I actually played with meters. Took me a while to adjust even though the settings are easier.
Don't know that I see myself playing ranked too much but it worked well and my experience was pretty good. My opponent was about my level we had a decent match going until he quit about 5 holes in. Seems like they could do so much more with this (allow different difficulties, course selections, tournaments, etc). Just feels so bare bones. The technology seems to work well as it was seemless, no lag, etc. Just left wanting more out if it.
I also think online was an opportunity for the 2K game to really stand out. Think of all the online modes for NBA2k. The MyTeam, the MyCareer, online ranked, etc. They could do so much of this with golf. I've never been into the card collecting modes but I could see myself getting into it with golf. Playing online as Jack Nicklaus, Sam Sneed, Gary Player, etc. Joining into a live tournament in something akin to The Rec in NBA2K as another example. That would be fun to me.Last edited by TheBrew101; 02-23-2023, 12:33 PM.Comment

I took a quick look and it appeares as though golf balls can be turned off if desired but maybe not for all modes.Comment

I think they can be turned off/restricted at a society level...but they are free to use in all other parts of the game.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA Tour 2K23 Adds Crossplay and Ranked Matchmaking
Played a good first match last night, then was reminded why I don’t do online in sports games. Not sure if he was glitching or the game/lag itself but once my opponent had selected a chip shot that went as a pitch which of course he stuck to 3 feet, then the following hole he had a putt go by 4 or 5 feet in my perspective but he apparently drained it and I never got a chance to make mine to tie him and lost the hole. Just an odd series of events.Comment

the lag was something I noticed too the other day, albeit on a skins match. I was watching the putt and it looked like it was going wide left by atleast 6 inches, then it kinda skipped a beat and played the sound as if the ball had dropped, but when it loaded up to my shot, the guy had missed his putt by about 15 feet passed the hole.
I've seen this playing with ghosts, never seen it live in multiplayer until this past weekComment
