And to add to what Beach said, there was even more. You needed at least 6 seasons to be Legendary as record breaker and when you finished that, you could go to Quick Tournaments and do it again there to get the Living Legend trophy.

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Delayed to April 7, Early Access April 4
At this point, I don't think that even the initially excited and hopeful of us here are even remotely being fatalistic or overly concerned about what we've seen, and especially what we haven't seen. 2 week delay, not a peep of hype or marketing (even something as simple as a tweet about The Players or Scheffler as someone mentioned).
I know we are all hoping that we are wrong in our skepticism and fading hopes, but not one single thing has been shown to us to quell the doubts that we have now. This thing is 3 weeks away from launch and we basically have no clue at all what it's going to play like. Bummed for sure.Comment

Agree. I'm bracing myself for a glitch riddled launch with an unplayable career mode due to bugs. What I'm hoping for is the presence of some nice standout courses and some play-now options for the Majors to allow for some entertaining online/offline exhibitions that can provide a different experience from 2K. Then maybe with some time bugs and glitches get ironed out and we have something decent. Even that maybe optimistic seeing what happened with the often delayed/canceled NBA Live series. This is having that same feel to me but really hope I'm wrongComment

I think it made sense from the standpoint that they'd capture a lot of sales in anticipation of the Masters coming up. EA used to release their TW games that had Augusta in the weeks leading to the event.

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Delayed to April 7, Early Access April 4
They are definitely going to release it, as I'd imagine the Masters tie in would leave the only option as a delay for another full year..
The question remains ... "what" are they releasing.
What quality, what performance, what career mode depth, on and on
Looks like we won't know until the "ApexHounds" of the world get their hands on it.

But yeah, I'd imagine that this "Masters Playthrough" event they had on their calendar is going to basically be an early access day thing...so the content people will probably be playing at Augusta or something on April 4 to "celebrate the launch" or whatever.
The fact all companies do this is entirely frustrating, and it actually seemed like EA's golf game was going to be marketed differently by having a teaser trailer more than 5 months before release! But in the end, it seems it will be the same way other games do it these days and there will be a lot of wait and see post-launch to gather reactions and get a true sense of how this plays.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Delayed to April 7, Early Access April 4
There's still almost 3 full weeks to early release, and I assume (which we all know how that goes!) they'll still be doing a career mode overview. That's their bread and butter here, and they know that's the weak spot in the competition. If they don't at least shed some light on that, then I have no clue what they're doing.

Still, that first trailer hit a long time before we even got the first bits of gameplay shown in January. And getting a gameplay trailer in January was even pretty exciting. I was hoping that meant there'd be a steady stream of these "deep dives" for 2+ months leading up to release (courses, career mode, gear/apparel, pros, Challenges, online play, DLC plans, etc). Obviously, that wasn't the case.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 03-15-2023, 03:06 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Delayed to April 7, Early Access April 4
Scottie Scheffler
Cameron Champ
Xander Schauffele
Im Sung-jae
Nelly Korda
Lexi Thompson
Jordan Spieth
Tony Finau
Hideki Matsuyama
I'm pretty sure they've also showed Danielle Kang in some clips/footage, too.
The additional aspect of the pros in EA's game is that they said that you'll be able to see one of the pros who is close to you on the leaderboard when playing in career mode rounds. So it's not just playing as them, it's getting a list of who you can see as you're playing, too.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 03-15-2023, 04:11 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Delayed to April 7, Early Access April 4
Definitely gonna need a few more pros before the Ryder cup DLC later in the year.
Don’t want to be making up the numbers with rest of the world players. It needs to be strictly European & USA teams.
Also the game has automatically downloaded on Xbox @ only 49.1 GB for base game.Comment
