Do the sponsorship challenges (or w/e called) and pre-tourney events only show up once your on the PGA Tour?

I'm currently on KF Tour and I don't have this stuff showing up.

Yes, they won't show up until the PGA Tour. And sponsor events don't show up every week even then.

You'll get training and a practice round option every week, and some weeks you have to choose between the practice round, a sponsor event, and a special event.

Having legendary clubs available for a full week is pretty solid at 715 VC, may have to forgo some player upgrades but you can easily build up that much VC through daily and weekly quests as long as they're not requiring you to wear non-existent clubs lol.

After playing a bit of career mode again, I really wish they had the option for the following:

Course Difficulty based on event type (Majors being the hardest)
Scoring Difficulty based on event type
Random Wind

I get around this by changing these up manually based on my event type, but it would be nice if there was an option to just have this automatically happen. It’s how it works in real golf and since the schedule is already there, we should have the option for it.

So after playing a few tourneys on the Korn Ferry Tour, it appears that it does change slightly from course to course and from round to round. I’ll need to do more testing since this may not be as big of a deal as I thought. Will report back after I play a little more.

So after playing a few tourneys on the Korn Ferry Tour, it appears that it does change slightly from course to course and from round to round. I’ll need to do more testing since this may not be as big of a deal as I thought. Will report back after I play a little more.

I definitely had the same concerns as you going on, but I have my course settings on hard and I've definitely seen a lot of changes round-to-round (~40 rounds played), although not as much as I'd like personally compared to something like TW14. I've only ever gotten medium or high winds and rarely low winds, I'd like to get very high on the occasion. Same with soft (I yearn for the day rain comes back to golf games) or very firm conditions, I almost never get those. And it doesn't feel like the CPU player scores are varying based on the conditions either, granted the leaderboards are broken so it's almost impossible to tell.

Right now I’m on Pro since I’m on the KFT and I just had a round where the best score was E. Next round it was -4, so it seems to be all over the place.

My plan is to go up one difficulty when I get to the PGA Tour and then the highest for majors. Although to your point, the wind is tied to the difficulty level so if you are on the hardest, it will always be high. That’s why I wish they would either give you a separate setting for each or just make it random. 100% agree with rain making a comeback. Even if we had different cloud cover, that would be a step in the right direction.

Yeah quests are broken. I have two weekly quests with same requirements and rewards. "Complete 10 daily quests" and rewards for both are 150 VC and bunch of fittings.

After getting through about a season and a half on the PGA Tour in MyCareer, I figured it was for the best to stop playing 4 Dynamic round events due to the lousy leaderboard score dispersion. Having the 10th place finisher end a tournament 23 shots behind first place isn't working for me...

Things seem OK-ish at 2 full rounds, so I am switching all regular, alternate, and signature events to 2 full rounds. Majors will still play as 4 full round events...for some reason, the scoring in majors doesn't seem as bad.

Is there a round 1 cut if you switch to 2? I really enjoy the full four rounds but finishing the third round 10th but knowing I need to shoot a 59 on the final day to even have a shot is a drag.

Yeah, there is a cut in 2-round events.

They actually treat 2-round events as 4-round events in MyCareer...you play the first round, rounds 2 and 3 are simmed as "Auto Par" rounds (every player shoots E), and then round 4 is actually the second round you play. Just something to be aware of...it especially impacts if you have a different outfit set for each round - when playing 2-round events, you wear Round 1 and Round 4 outfits.

It's too bad Ranked Multiplayer (and other modes as well, I guess) is being ruined by the Flop shot.

They need to do something about this. Instead of chipping from just outside the green, say, like normally, players resort to the Flop shot, which goes far in the air and down, right near the cup. It's a cheesy shot, something I really consider as cheating. The shot is not a natural part of the game, from such a short distance.

No more Ranked Multiplayer for me until this situation gets resolved.
