That's too funny. How stuff like that gets through is always humorous to me--in a former life, 30 years ago, I was a proofreader for Lexis/Nexis law books being keyed into the mainframe in the very early days of online searching.

To this day, I'm astounded at how many typo's I easily spot on news sites, documents, and things like that. Don't these people have a proofreader, and an editor that catches what the proofreaders missed? lol

Absolutely right. I've been saying this forever--why can't they have a macro level slider or something to speed up or slow down the swing animation?

Trying to "slow down" in this game is very, very hard for me. As soon as you barely touch the stick (PS5 here), the club jerks backward very quickly. I'm liking the game play and spending time with the game in general, but the super fast back swing has always been my biggest hang up with the 2k series. It's just ridiculously fast to me. Super human, faster than Bryson fast.

You don't have to worry about hitting partial shots with your controller stick in this game. Thanks to the new ea imports they have introduced a type of dial-a-distance. Your club hits the ball to far no problem simply pull back on the marker then make your swing and let it happen. Now you can "force" the club to go past the distance tied to the marker if you really try but by in large you won't. I will add though that your rhythm, which is tied to the downswing, will affect your distance if you're to slow or fast.

Sounds like a patch is rolling out today...so far, have only heard Xbox users getting it, so would assume it will get to other platforms soon.

Almost certainly due to AI upscaling. The same spelling errors are being found in the new WWE game on the wrestlers gear as well

I appreciate this Will, I had completely forgotten from playing 2k21/23 about pulling the distance marker back and using a full swing (along with clubbing down first occasionally). That's exactly what I've been doing wrong, after play EA almost daily for 2 years, I've only been pulling the distance marker back a few yards from my target, and using more touch and feel with the amount of back swing.

That said...I think that is a much better method, the EA swing that allows much more touch, feel, partial shots to control distance, etc.

As always, the swing mechanics of 2k is the achillies heel for me with this game. I've played it many hours since Monday, and last night decided to play EA for the first time since then.

I still prefer EA, even with all of the improvements with the new 2k game and those of you in the know that are saying that the game play itself is about the best it's ever been.

I just can't get past the whipsaw swing mechanics/animation. I tried. It's a killer for me with this series.

Yeah, I don't like that either. I was never able to find other swing animations with the HB games. Maybe they're there, could never find them. There's 3 free to chose from, and we can purchase others we like with EA, and change them anytime we want easily. Wish I could find something like that with 2K.

First game of ranked after the patch on ps5 pro and i got kicked after hole one lol playing another match and so far so good. Dont notice anymore frame rate issues as well.
