One of the main issues is that, yes, there seems to be one AI player who always wins or is always near the top of each event. For many, that's Xander Schauffele. He won something like 10 events and $40 million in my first PGA Tour season.

Another issue is that score dispersion is out of whack. I've had four round events where the winner is 20 shots clear of 10th place, and the cut line is 40 shots away from the winning score.
Wow... that's not what one would expect from a golf game in 2025!? I just dabble in career mode now and I really don't pay that much attention to spreads. I'm still in my first season, playing Pro difficulty with Pro skilled players. I play two round tournaments and it seems that -10 to -6 wins a lot of tournaments. I've won two, but I've also missed three or four cuts. It feels believable to me competitively, but I'm a guy who a little bit less than average player in game skill.

Yea the winning scores are fine. I see a nice variety depending on the course and difficulty. It’s the spread from there that is not at all a realistic spread.

Just finished the second round at Pinehurst (forget what the tournament is called).

Leader (Tiger which doesn’t happen often) is -[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]] and second is +[emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]]]]]. What exactly do the seasons entail or mean?

Each season will bring a new Clubhouse Pass, which is like a "battle pass" or ladder you climb with various rewards given out as you climb the levels in the pass. For Season 1, the CHP had cosmetic stuff like Malbon and adidas clothing, but it also had Mizuno clubs (one was a limited edition driver), and then a bunch of things like Evo Tools and Level Up Tokens. It will also introduce a new shot type...Season 1's was the Thai Spinner. We don't know what Season 2's is.

The Clubhouse Passes have a free tier and a premium tier...you have to pay to get the premium rewards, and proficiencies for the seasonal shot type are part of the premium tier...so you'll get the shot for free, but to get boosts for it, you need to pay.

There's also going to be additional Evo levels opened up each season, so clubs will be able to be evolved passed Sapphire in Season 2, meaning fittings will likely have a greater boost.

One other thing is that 2K already said that St Andrews is coming out in Season 2 as an official course as well.

Just bough the Legend Edition. Can someone give me suggestions on what I should be upgrading as far as this build goes? Thanks in advance.

Depends...what archetype are you using? That makes a difference on what areas to put VC/attribute points into.

I'd suggest going in on contact and swing path, and then boost power with fittings.

I'd also say that the patch coming out tomorrow will impact Transition, and they are making some "balancing" changes across the board on all swing types and aspects of the swing. So what might be recommended today could change completely in the next 24 hours.

Thanks for the tips here. Haven’t played a gold game since The Golf Club. Good to be back at it.

I use technician. For an example I went with 51 power 91 contact, 95 SP. I then added 5 power fittings to my driver which are now sapphire giving me a total of 71 power, 284 yds off the tee. Added 2 contact and three SP fittings to my irons and wedges putting them at 99. Eventually I'll up the power with ap's trying to get up to 291-93 for my driver then I can use some shorter irons into some par fours giving a better shot at birdies. If you check respawn, respawn2 and makachada on YT you see how they have fitted their archetypes, good info.

I just installed the new 2K25 preview. I also pre-purchased for the XBOX XS. While the graphics look great, the swing speed has not been corrected since the 23 version. The swing is not proportional to the stick movement. As soon as you start the swing it goes to 100% backswing. This is not natural. The swing on the club should follow the stick movement proportionally. AS programmed, you have to guess on when to release or push the stick in the other direction to complete the swing. A golf swing should not break the sound barrier. I stopped playing 2K23 X/S because of this issue. The swing response on ES Sports Road to the Masters is perfect. Or you need a manual adjustment to set a preference for the swing speed. If this cannot be adjusted I will request a refund from Xbox. The preview is defaulting to "perfect swing". Is there a setting to allow the swing to follow your stick movement??

"Perfect Swing" is basically the easiest difficulty in the game. No matter how you swing the club on that setting the ball goes exactly where you're aiming it, hence the name.

There are multiple levels of difficulty, several of which have you swing with a draw or fade bias (diagonal swing) and require you to hit in a 3:1 backswing to downswing rhythm, as well as keep a proper swing plane and hit contact points to ensure a solid strike. You can try them all out in the demo.
