Re: NFS: Carbon Official Impressions Thread
I picked it up and played it for about 30 minutes. I hated the demo, too, but I love the game. Feels like they tightened up everything that was wrong with the demo and delivered a great racing game.
So if it is a rehash of Most Wanted...so what...I loved that game and in my opinion more of the same can't be a bad thing. I'm not sure what people were expecting, but in my short time with it, it felt like a winner. No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

Why did you pay money for it when you were going to use one of the games to trade for it?Comment

Re: NFS: Carbon Official Impressions Thread
In my opinion, the full game DOES put the demo to change. I have Most Wanted and I finished it. I've played this game for about 2 hours now and I don't wanna stop playing it. I'm enjoying it thus far.Comment

Re: NFS: Carbon Official Impressions Thread
After playing a few hours of Carbon tonight, I'm really enjoying this game. I think that the demo doesn't do it any justice and the full game is much better. I think the graphics are a little bit better than Most Wanted.
The trippy FMV is back, except this time, the story is much longer and it seems like EA put a lot of focus in this area.
As much as the "Crew" helps out at times or can be a pain, I just wish that EA would have never incorporated this concept into NFS. I really don't care for another driver's assistance or even someone to scout for shortcuts, it kind of spoils the fun.
My very first car that I have driven with is the Camaro SS. I'm working on the Muscle Car class right now as I'm a big fan of muscle cars. I really like how the Camaro handles, you sliding all over the place when trying to take turns until you can spend some money for upgrades to get better control. Even the Camaro feels a bit more heavier than the tuner that I raced with so EA did incorporate weight physics.
The police are aggressive, but nearly aggressive like in MW.
There are tons of things within Carbon that remind me of MW, but you can tell that it's a different game.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 11-02-2006, 06:33 PM.Comment

Re: NFS: Carbon Official Impressions Thread
At least on the 360 games.
They struck a deal with a printer to keep costs down so no matter the game, 9 pages it will be.
This coming from the RICHEST video game developer in the world.
I REALLY, REALLY hate EA.
yet, I will still buy their crap because I've been hypnotized...or something..."Because he's the hero Gotham deserves...but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...the Dark Knight."Comment
