        I just got this one:

Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Just depends on how much you're willing to spend. Took me a while to finally justify it to myself that it was worth over $1,000. I never have to buy another wheel again, whereas I've been buying a wheel every year (or less) since 1994.

                Re: Steering Wheel...

Yep. Roll your eyes all you want. But once you do the math, it's not unheard of. I've spent far more than that on steering wheels (as I mentioned earlier) already. The setup I had right before this alone was a Logitech Momo wheel ($200 when I bought it new), Act Labs Performance Pedal system (another $90) and the Act Labs USB Shfiter ($70). So you're already at the 350 range for my LATEST wheel. I have another Act Labs Force RS in a box, the Sidewinder FF, the older Logitech FF, etc. They all wear out.

With a TSW, the only things that wear out are the potentiometers. New ones are $22 bucks each (and have a 1 to 2 year lifespan). Anything else ever breaks, and you get it fixed for free. What's more, if they ever upgrade their "stock" technology, you send in your wheel and it gets upgraded for free. Lifetime warranty, no questions asked.

Thomas Enterprises has been in business for a while, and I think you'd be surprised to find out how many of these things they sell. There's a reason they have pictures of Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ryan Newman, and the entire staff at Papyrus on their website, showing off their TSW's.

They're that good. Lap times have been known to increase by a full mph by simply plugging in the wheel. The fact that you never have to buy another one is a bonus.

Obviously, this entire line is dedicated to a more hardcore racer. For somebody who just wants to experience a racing game, but aren't really sure if they'd get into it, I recommend the Logitech Momo Force. They go at less than 100 bucks now, and there's nothing better for that money.

When people don't get specific, I give them my recommendation for "the best".

I'm not a big PC racing fan yet, but if I was I think I'd make the same decision TCrouch did, though I'd have to convince myself a little too. If you're spending almost a hundred a year or more all ready, why not get a good one that'll last you so much longer? and I bet it makes the driving experience that much more realistic...but 1k does seem excessive until you really think about it

I've got a Logitech MOMO force feedback wheel. I wish i could unload it, since I don't race on the PC hardly anymore. It was 200 bucks when i bought it. Sheesh, I'd be happy to get a 100 for it. Only used about 2 weeks. Works perfectly..

Keep in mind you can use the Logitech MOMO wheel for GT3 and a few other games like pro race driver for PS2. I just picked mine up the other day and I'm loving it so far. The games I've played on my PC so far don't seem to have as good of FF which suprised me. Of course they were just demos but I tried the pro race driver demo, NFS2HP, and nascar season 2003. All were pretty pathetic in the FF. Where as GT3 is phenominal and I just picked up PRD for PS2 and it seems quite good. I'm guessing that the pc is suffering because its only 80% done.
