This has to be the worst version they ever made of the game. First off they took out the speed catchup feature it use to have to where if you fell way behind you would go faster then everyone else until you got within 4 or 5 car lengths which made each race a great finish. So when you play online and people fall behind they wreck to get a caution to catch up so you spend 90- percent of the race under yellow flag. Also some racers are faster then others so if you do not have the best you are doomed.

I hated the catchup, and all the cars are the same, unless you can use custom setups. (Haven't opened it yet) -

1. There is no magic "catch up" button in any Nascar racer's car in real life. If there is, I'm not aware of it.
2. Not every race is supposed to be a "great finish"
3. Just like real Nascar, not all cars run at the same speed. This is due to the crew, and what they do to the car (legally). Have you tried different settings and adjustments under the hood of your car? You ever hear of racers leaving one team to go to another because they have a "better car"? Thats what it means. Its part of the reason why Danica in Indy left her team last year for another.
4. This isnt supposed to be an arcade racer. If you think this is hard and not fun, try playing GTR2 on the PC. You would hate it more than this because youd actaully have to get that much better at that game to be successful.__________________________________________________ ____

I never thought I'd see somebody complain about the LACK of catch-up logic being a problem.
If you're getting wrecked, then use some racecraft and don't put yourself in a position to be collected by a wrecker. I can't tell you how many races I've won in PC sims by just keeping my nose clean, staying away from the hyper-aggressive drivers and letting them kill themselves off. If you need catch up logic to compete, then it's probably not the game for you. I don't even know if it's good or not (won't be home until tonight), but if this is the big complaint that makes it the "worst version ever", then I'm actually pretty encouraged suddenly.

I've spent many a race on Nascar2003 way behind and just staying on the track to get points. To have a system that allows anyone to "keep up" regardless of how they are doing or thier car is setup is pointless and not something I'd want to particpate in. But that's just me....Joshua:

No, it's not just you. What's the point in having any skill if you know any monkey with half a brain can just use catch up logic and stick with you, then punt you at the end and take a win? Nah...I think I like the sound of this game already.

I don't play racing games, but catch up logic sounds stupid. It's like playing a sports game and being blown out, only for the computer to cause the winning team to turn the ball over and make mistakes until the trailing team catches up.
What's the point of playing games if you need some "cheat" to help you compete?Comment
