Has anyone played online and had no lag at all? I played one last night at Bristol and it was horrible. But I think that was because it was the first night the game was released. Still excited bout a league. I posted my gamertag up top. I didnt get to play tonight just wanted to no if the lag was gone.Texas A&M Aggies

Re: NASCAR online roll call, for those that enjoy...
League sounds awesome, anyone want to volunteer running something. I've never run a league, so I really don't know where to start. But the idea of running at every track, and it meaning something every time out, i.e. points, sounds fantastic. Count me in if we can get something organized.
I'm definitely willing to help out, if someone else has experience at this. Has anyone had their race results set up to send to e-mail? Just wondering what info is provided. I have mine setup to send via e-mail, but haven't been able to finish a race yet.Last edited by FinsUp75; 07-27-2007, 08:08 AM.PSN Username = FinsUp75Comment

Mniner 2003 and I raced last night for about 2 hours and we talked about putting one together. He has a much better grasp of how to do it, and said it's not that difficult. I will try to catch up with him again this weekend and race, and try to cement something so we can start putting it together.

Re: NASCAR online roll call, for those that enjoy...
Hey, guys!
Here's how this would work... Let's designate a time and day that we can all commit about 1.5hr weekly. We can include a solid 15 min practice, qualify and race.
1. One of us would have to be a designed host (someone with a good connection). It will have to be a "private" race.
2. We'll have to put a schedule together. We can follow the real schedule starting with the Daytona 500.
3. I recommend 10% length, 2x's wear, no collision and no flags until we get use to it.
4. Someone will have to write down all the results and we can populate a spreadsheet. We can either distribute that via email or if you guys are savvy enough post it on the website.
It's really not that difficult to do but it takes bit of commitment to complete a full season."The older I get, the faster I was!"

Re: NASCAR online roll call, for those that enjoy...
I've run countless leagues on PC sims like NR2003, Dirt Track Racing, DTR Sprints, rFactor, etc. I really would like to get into a league, but having no collisions or flags just destroys any immersion for me. It's basically hotlapping with obstructions to your view when that happens. People tend to drive a little more carelessly when they know they don't have to worry about hitting anybody else.
Also, why do 2x wear if you have a 10% race? It just makes your tires wear a bit more, but not much. You still won't need a pit stop or anything, so not much point to it in my opinion.

TCrouch,
No offense but if you could find me 3 guys that could run good lines more power to you. But the reality is that I have come across maybe 4 guys max that can can consistently run solid lines without smashing against someone else.
The wear effect helps to weed out the guys that come in with qualifying setups and run races smashing up against the wall and abusing the tires without consequence.
The league setup rules are just my suggestion.Last edited by RunN1st; 07-27-2007, 01:04 PM."The older I get, the faster I was!"

You're definitely running with the wrong crowd then. I understand it's certainly not everybody, but there's a large group of guys that I run a lot of racing games with at DSP that manage it in a wide variety of racing titles. In random pickup rooms? Not even close. But I could grab at least 10 off the top of my head, so I guess your mileage may vary.

I am running on the 360. As far as lag, the only real lag I noticed is when we were practicing and guys were log on, there was slight hesitation. It ran pretty smooth and we had anywhere from 4 to 8 guys running at once.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment
