I'm not a big fan of cheat codes, especially if they soften the learning curve or challenge of a game.
But I'll admit that I used one last night on the new Xbox racing title, World Racing, with great fun.
This code simply puts you in the middle of a championship that's 80 percent finished, so you have access to more than 100 cars and a ton of tracks. It doesn't give you extra speed or invulnerability or anything like that -- just more cars and tracks.
Start a new championship code and use this as a name: ALLUCANGET .
Some of the high-powered cars are diabolical to drive with all assists off and the simulation meter set to 100 percent. In fact, the pre-World War II Grand Prix Mercedes, an open-wheel car, is an absolute blast to drive with those settings. Lurid wheelspin and tail slides. Plus the cockpit view is fantastic.
And you have some hellishly long tracks unlocked with this code, too. I drove on a Alps track that was 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) long last night!
I'm going to continue to progress through the championship with the profile I created under my name and use the cheat-coded profile for when I want a quick fix with a variety of cars.
Does that still make me a cheater?

P.S.: I love World Racing. A driver's driving game.
Take care,
PK
