    OSFC- Coke 600



    Joe Gibbs dominance is starting to overtake JJ's, with Kyle Busch winning at the Monster Mile. Is Gibbs the dominant team now? Has Hendrick slipped to number 2?

    The Winston provided us an opportunity to gain points and make a move at securing a Chase spot. blueandgold and Wednesday were the big winners shrinking Burghfan's lead at the top.

    This week Nascar stays in Charlotte for the World 600, which is the half way point in the race for the chase. No Boring race please.

    Points will be updated later today, I'll post them.

    Qualifying is on Thursday(No Pole Bonus this week)

    I'm gonna borrow this from Mike,

    Pick the amount of cars based on the place you are picking, if you pick 2nd pick 2 cars, 5th 5 cars, and so on.

    Place the driver who you want the most at the top, 2nd most 2nd, and so on until you fill the list based on how many you need.

    As I gather the list I will mark off cars from your list that have been taken. I will then take the driver who is highest on your list, that is left.

    Please send me a PM with your picks. We are all members here at OS, and it's much easier to deal with it all in one place.

    If I mess up, please let me know ASAP.

    Please don't submit your picks on this thread, unless you want everyone in front of you to know who you really want.

                  guys, my laptop charger died so i'm gonna be a bit slow on updating the picks.

                  also depending when my new charger arrives, i probably wont send out reminders this week

                      guys, my dad scored tickets to the indy 500 about 10 rows up from the start finish line ... i was born two blocks from the track and have lived within an hour of indy most of my life, but will be the first time in my 33 years that i've gone to the race ... i just hope i have more fun that when i saw the brickyard there.

                              What..............The Brickyard is a must see if you live there. I grew up in South Bend(Northern Indiana) and was able to make there for 4 Indy 500's and 1 Brickyard 400. It truly is an amazing thing to be part of. Make sure you soak in the party the night before all around the track, and get their early so you can park on the infield.

                              PS: You will be pretty close to being on the other side of pit row.........it's cool as hell watching the cars rip in there, and back out.

                                  What section/box are you in? I ask because my F1 tickets weren't that far from the S/F line (Closer to turn 1 of the ovals), and we were I think 8 rows up.

                                      Nice!

                                      It seems to me that the viewing experience at the Indianapolis 500 wouldn't be very good with the stands in the infield blocking a lot of the view, but it's still the Indy 500. I'd love to go.

                                              Yeah, that was horrible trying to watch it on tv, let alone sitting there with a 150,000 stinky, sweaty, bitchy people!

                                                  I actually went and found the "OSFC 2008 Allstate 400" thread and Ashes posted that they'd gone to that race a few years earlier and that it was extremely hot and sticky.

                                                  Anyways, I'll take #17 Matt Kenseth again.

                                                      yeah, it was like 06 or 07 and it was miserably hot and humid ... we were in turn three and was surrounded by a bunch a a-holes ... don't get me wrong, i'm glad i did it, i would just rather go to orp or kentucky where you can see the whole track. i've said it for years, nascar at indy needs to be at orp or on the IMS road course ... that would be bad ***.

                                                      Seats are paddock section, box 41, row l .. parking on 16th street has already been provided. i realize i will only be able to see a small section of the race, but if you're gonna only see a small section, might as well make it the action zone.
