Running this game at 1900x1200 might bring a tear to my eye
The game will definitely be the best on PC, IMO. I just hope it isn't too good in that my new laptop can't handle the game!

Thanks Big C, that confirms my direction of picking this is up for the pc. I should be able to max this game out, or at least come ultra close to it.

We, judging by those specs, I should be able to easily play this game. However, I've seen these things be quite deceptive. For example, Flight Simulator X has specs which aren't all that high-performance, but you need a pretty darn good laptop/PC to run it, even nowadays four years after it was made.

I can't imagine how awesome this game will be with mods. It's PC all the way.

I have yet to see a PC game that was playable at good resolution where the PC just covered the minimum specs. Racing games especially. I would think that you would need a PC with markedly higher specs than those listed for the game to really have the game run smoothly.

I would wait until you see the recommended settings to see if your PC can really handle it. More often than not those recommended settings are much higher than the minimum settings.

                  Re: F1 2010 - which console?

Looks like PS3 for me. I don't have a wheel for my console, but I might look into buying that racing controller if reviews are good.

Ultimately, I would buy it for the PC but there is no way my Pentium 4 would run it. Another reason to get a new computer. ;-)

The previously poster makes a good point. Computers barely meeting the minimum specs usually run like trash.

For those who have a PC that are looking for a simulator rather then an arcade game (which is what this is) I would suggest rFactor with the F1 mod or the new Ferrari academy.

You know this for sure? Have you played it already? (F1?)

                        Didn't think so.

Rfactor, while may be fine, isn't for me. A monthly subscription to play? No thanks.

You may be confusing rFactor with iRacing. rFactor doesn't have subscription fees.

And think the point he is trying to make is summed up with this video...

                          <object width="382" height="240"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/p0EQlrzqayQ?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;hd=1"> </param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/p0EQlrzqayQ?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="382" height="240"></embed></object>

I'll be picking up F1 2010 even though I have rFactor F1 mods and tracks.

Still, I'll probably get F1 for pc. I like the career mode from what I've seen thus far.
