    Re: NR 2003 Mods

    I recently downloaded the "cup11s" mod at www.desmodsracing.com.

    It really is nicely done. Having never tried the Bullring mod, I can't compare the two. But coming from someone who always stuck to the old car designs, (aka Car of Yesterday, or COY) this was a nice change.

    New cockpits, new damage modeling, and harder to spin the ai out. There's also a 2012 carset for this mod, so it's up-to-date.

      Sega, thanks for posting that link. I downloaded that mod as well and it looks impressive. Quick question: what's the difference between the ST and SS version?

        SS=Superspeedway, ST=Short track.

        Although, I just got the ST version, and it works fine on Daytona so far. You can get both if you prefer, but the carset I also got said it was specifically made for the ST version.

          Interesting, I wonder why they would create two versions based on track? For example, if I start a championship with one of the versions, I'll be racing that version on all tracks, not just one specific type.

          Oh well, it's probably moot since you said the ST version works fine on Daytona anyway.

            The only difference I can think of is possibly the handling is different between the ST and SS versions. Other than that, so long as I can race all the tracks with no problems, I'm satisfied. I don't race online either, so if an online league specifies the version, maybe that's another difference.

              They made different versions for the different spoilers that NASCAR uses on the superspeedways compared to the other tracks. There is no changes to handling or anything like. They both use the same physics engine.
