Well, I'm going to do the trial I've been hooked up with.

    I'll be on tonite!

Ah ya. Debating on getting pedals but not sure I'm committed enough to spend money on them

Dont judge the service based on Week 13, its not pretty with the amount of carnage that emerges for this week alone

Alright I finally got a new PC and I just can't wait anymore. I'll be purchasing my first subscription as soon as I get a new wheel! Only thing I worry about is that fact that I'm going to be terrible at the start lol.

Now on that note, any recommendations on a good wheel for relatively cheap? I think I do have an old Momo laying around some where but I seriously doubt it works.

I don't know what you consider cheap, but the DFGT is the best low-end wheel out there in my opinion. I'm not sure how much they're going for these days, however.

                Re: iRacing after 2+ years

Finally got my first win in the Grand-Am series in the Riley tonight. Chaos here knows I struggle with my concentration so this race tonight, I put it all into the race to be as perfect as I could be. No mental mistakes, got loose but recovered to not loose ground.

Started 3rd, leader I'm familiar with from running earlier. Really clean so the entire race I was chasing (0.4-1.5 seconds behind) and giving him different looks to see if I can rattle him; showing inside at the inner loop/bus stop part then diving back under him, making him think about it next turn, etc.

So I do this for 25 straight laps and just thinking I wont make a pass at the inner loop deal since its not worth the risk and that I really have no other place to pass him other than T1 since he was backing off the corner later on with his old tires while I was keeping my same points.

Thankfully the pressure I kept putting on him in T1 made him make his 1 mistake of the entire race, he pushed too hard into the corner and got loose, opening the door for me to make the move. Held him off for the last 2 laps and came away with the win.

Never thought I would win a road race outside of the time I ran rookies to move up.

                  Re: iRacing after 2+ years

So I'm getting a new PC and want to start iRacing, but I'm not totally sure if the specs on the PC i'm getting fit the iRacing requirements. I'm not rolling in cash and the other half wants something basic. So here are the specs, can anyone give me a heads up if I'm about to get something that won't run this at all? I'm not so concerned right now with how it looks, more concerned that it just works period. when that financial aid check comes i could probably upgrade a graphics card.

any help would be much appreciated!!!!

The concern would be anything that says "Integrated Graphics" on it. A vidcard bottleneck is the worst one. I don't have any experience with an integrated Radeon 4200, but that would be the only thing that jumps out at me at a glance.

I can't even begin to explain how much cooler and more immersive iRacing is with a good setup. I got the Eyefinity configured and running properly this week, and my lap times have dropped across the board. Pics are crap since they're from a camera phone, but the setup isn't

                        Man, Terry! That's very cool!

If I even try to go there with my setup my wife would probably hand me her wedding ring and the keys to the house.

My wife's the one who surprised me with the monitors for an early birthday present

Not sure if you saw the insane "sim-cockpit" I built like 8 or 9 years ago. I was the laughing stock of the forum back then, because I built it out of plywood and 2x4's and basically had a full on 8' x 4' car in my den. She tolerated that, so this is almost nothing by comparison.

The cool thing is, it work in NR2003 too. NR2003 just doesn't quite have the same design behind it, so the window net ends like halfway through the left monitor. But it makes that game kick much ***, too.

I just dipped my toe into iRacing this week (3 months for $12). As of right now I am just turning laps solo to get to grips. Is there anyway that you can practice with someone or is it not possible?

Edit: Nice setup you have there TCrouch, man that setup my lil setup look bootleg in comparison.
