Re: iRacing after 2+ years
The MX-5 will be both left and right hand drive. The Solstice is getting replaced by the MX-5 for the rookie series.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
I am going to jump back into iRacing here in a few weeks. This time I am just buying the COT, NW and about 12 NASCAR tracks though. I have tried to explain to guys who have never taken the COT car onto a Sprint Cup track, that it just doesnt get any better. I have apporached it (twice) half *** in the fact that I only bought a track, maybe 2. This will change this time around, as I think this deserves a fair shot!Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Avoid Daytona and Dega really, imo. Those 2 tracks = gridlock, the racing just isnt fun since both lines never move unless someone screws up and plows into the wallAaron

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
The final race for the NASCAR iRacing Series World Champsionship was pretty amazing, top two in points battling for the championship.
The winner is also getting sent to Homestead to be honored by NASCAR.
They also just announced Iowa Speedway was just signed and should be in the sim around 2012/2013 hopefully earlier but they have a bunch of road stuff to get done next year.Comment

Nationwide is the Impalla B Class.
And here is the NASCAR.com article on the NiSWC Champion

Now, just to make sure, can you use say that Nationwide car in a test session even if you don't have a class B license?
If so, does that extend to possibly being able to get into a practice or hosted session using that car?Comment

Man I just hit myself. How did I not figure that out?

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
But then again, it took me quite a while to find the practice sessions with other people. I thought I was limited to an actual race, TT, qualify or a solo practice.
Off to buy some cars and tracks.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
Armed with the bit of new information, I have one more question.
I've added a few things to my cart and upon further reading, the 24 hours and the Petit Petit LeMans are both available like you said.
So, I'm currently a rookie and will be class D in a few days. I thought I had to buy a D car and some of those tracks to advance, but technically I don't need to buy them. I could just buy what I need for say the 24 Hours event, this week it's Dover and the NW car and with that I could increase my safety rating as well as continue to do my daily races with the Legends car?
Edit: Doh, I forgot the MPR thing. Argh!! So it looks like I still need to purchase a D car if I understand things correctly.Comment
