I was planning on running a class a fixed race or two to try and prepare for NiS on Sunday, with the track difference that's not possible.
That makes a lot more sense reading it at 4 PM and not early in the morning.

I use Open Broadcaster Software for streaming/recording, but I rarely stream except if I want my dad or someone to watch me attempt to manage driving a racecar... and my attempt at that was pretty poor the past few days.

Strange, probably why I didn't have many viewers stay then.

Yeah I had the car to win and I went and screwed it up with the pitstop and that frustration led to more mistakes including the decision to not fully repair damager which hurt me the most.

Is there a free recorder that I can record my next race. Maybe some of guys can critique me and tell me what I'm doing wrong. Im always mid pack. Can never get to run up front.

I use Shadowplay, which came with my computer's nVidia video card. It's probably not the best, but it's free and good enough for now. I need to find a way to increase by microphone volume in the future, though.

Thanks guys, I just downloaded all three so I'll give them a shot this week and see which one I like the most.

Do you guys do anything to the files to shrink them after recording, or just upload what you get to YouTube?

If all you really want is for people to critique your driving, just save the replay file and post it here. Personally I find replay files much easier to view than a recording. At least when you're trying to help someone improve.

I use Windows Movie Maker to compress the files. It would take forever to upload (as in days), otherwise.

                    Thanks.

Watching your Michigan race and loving the drama. It was even better than expected.

I use Sony Vegas to edit out warm-up and anything after the checkered. I then upload directly to YouTube from there. Only thing I dislike about the Play.tv is on my PC sometimes quality seems to drop. Think it has to do with my PC not being super powerful.

Here's a few laps I did last night at Bristol in the gen6. Recorded it with playtv. Not so impressed with the quality after I compressed it, so that's something I need to figure out. No problems with performance, although it was a practice session and I was the only one on the server.

This will sound like a dumb question, but can anybody watch my above video in either 1080 or 720 in Firefox? I'm only getting the 360p option.

I've checked two computers at home, and neither one of them can view the video in HD if I'm using Firefox, but using Chrome or IE I get the HD options no problem. I have no problems viewing other videos in HD with FF, either videos I've uploaded or videos from others, only that one video seems to have a problem.

                            Nope, 360p here in Firefox.

Interesting race last night at Charlotte in the K&N car. I started dead last on purpose, just wanted to ride around for SR. I probably burned up my tires way too early but didn't do that for too long, and other guys started pitting half way in. I kept on going, nursing it through the turns and got up to 6th. Had to get around some dingbat that blocked every chance he got until I got around him for good. Made it 39 laps... and the tires finally went. Put it into the wall and wound up with a 4x and lost a position and finished 7th.

Same problem I had at Michigan, couldn't get the low 29 laps that others can get, but I think it's worth it here as I made it 39 out of 40 laps on old tires and most of them were pitting at 20-25. I need to get my SR up back to the 3.7's like it was before that disaster this past weekend. Glad I'm out of Bristol!

Thanks. I looked into it last night but still have no idea why it happening. Need to try something else I guess.

At least this one seems to have worked just fine, although I recorded it with OBS and not Plays.tv.
