Re: iRacing after 2+ years
At this point, I think iRacing's annual April Fool's prank was releasing a major announcement with a troll-worthy title on April 1st.
Bizarre.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
I wonder how well the sprint cars can run on the dirt. I'm okay with late models but some winged 410 sprint cars is what I need.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
I think the most obvious one's that I am curious on would be:
1. What class(es) will involve dirt?
2. Will they be mirroring their be a partnership with World of Outlaws, and if so, will that be the schedule that iracing schedules to?Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
My big questions are:
1) Will dirt be getting it's own safety rating and class rating, or will dirt ovals be part of the oval ratings?
2) Will safety rating work the same given the propensity for contact in dirt races? It's the definition of rubbin' is racin'.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
I guess we will just post here instead of PM'ing him.
1) Will the current sprint car be supported for dirt immediately? Will there be another sprint car supported and how soon?
2) How will the race formats work? I know this could be very different but I might give up an arm or leg if they set it up where everyone registered was split up based on their iRating into heats and then you would be sorted into the D,C,B or A main. It would be absolutely amazing if they could pull that off.
3) Cautions? I know with the WoO sprint cars cautions don't count as laps will this be represented as well?
That's all I can think of right now. I might add some more later.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
If we could get some elaboration on the "adjustments". If everything is just ratcheted down a bit, it may be fine. Now, a 4x kills me in a short race with an A license. I would hope on dirt, a 4x still hurts, but doesn't require multiple clean races afterwards or hundreds of laps of time trials.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
Finally back to a track that feels comfortable. Was down and up and down and up at Texas in the Camaro. Such a fine line between burning the rubber off the tires and conserving. Wound up 7th and once I get to work in the cup car, this could be a good week given how well Atlanta went. If not for some contact mid-race, I probably could have tried to stay on the lead lap and had a top 5 instead of a 10th back in February.Comment
