Yep, sure is. I was gone for a whole week, but will get this updated today.


ALSO!

I know there are a lot of questions about the time frames of racing and how we are going to handle that. Here is what the plan is first......

1. I need to get the game( which will be around the 24th)

2. We have to see how online is, and the servers ability to handle full loads.

3. If we have enough interest(and it looks like we do right now) we can have 2 seperate nights for racing for each system.

4. No one has to kick in money for prizes and such(OS will take care of that)

5. Nothing is locked in yet, as this is just an interest thread.

I appreciate all the interest that we have so far, and as it gets closer to the games release, i'm sure it's only going to grow. Hang in there with me, and once we have a few pratice session's, see how the game reacts and who is still interested, then I will set up the league from there. There is going to be people who just do not like the game, who have bad lag, whose system breaks down. There is a lot of things to let pan out, and once we all have the game, we will put together a solid gameplan....

I haven't been in any official OS leagues before, so I have some questions (if I can ask them here):

1) I looked in the information about the game, and it talks about allowing custom cars. Will we do that if it allows us to share them online?

2) Will we be using custom setups or stock settings?

3) Any ideas on how many laps there will be?

If they allow them online, and people can see them, then yes.

My preference is to run a fixed set-up right now. Since the league is going to be pretty decent size, we are going to run into guys who are not really good setting up the car, and it becomes frustrating. It will also stop people from manipulating or exploiting the game in any way possible

This we will have to check out. We don't want to run too short, but not too long either. We will play this one by ear as we get the game in hand.

No problem Zero..............

I am a firm believer that if we keep the league simple, fair, and fun, people will want to come back and keep racing. I never want someone to feel like racing this is a burden, or over their head.

I like that this is a fixed setup league.. I havent played much racing games lately and really never been good with setups anyway.

I hope the servers are good first and foremost and best case scenario would be to have a custom car in the league!

cant wait . every question has been answered except 2. who keeps track of points and getting the races started? if the surver lag or we get kicked how will that effect the person and his points?
