OSFC-Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips(Watkins Glen)

In what was a rain hampered thrilling race, Brad Keselowski managed to overcome a vicious wreck earlier in the week to win at Pocono. Rumor has it Dale Jr is on his way to Road Atlanta to do the same.

Point leader, Kodiak has an awful week has JPM struggled to do much in the race. But with 5 races left to go, a chase spot is all but guaranteed.

This week NASCAR heads to New York for the last Road Course of the season in Watkins Glen. So here we go with some new/old questions this week, Who will try to make it 5 wide in the first turn? Who wont make it out of the inner loop? Who will be the first to get stuck in the sand trap? Will it be exciting? Will it bore me to death, again? Will Dale Jr finally win or will he focus on staying near the top of the standings? Will Bob make a decent pick this week? Will we have another fuel mileage race? Who will cause a huge wreck this weekend? Will Rain stay away this weekend? Will Denny Hamlin go back to Victory Lane at Pocono? Will Smoke make his return to Victory Lane here? Will Rowdy have conflict with another driver this week? Will we have another first time winner this week? Who will drop out of the Chase Spot this week? Tune in to ESPN on Sunday(Im sure this time) to find out.

I'm gonna borrow this from Mike,

Pick the amount of cars based on the place you are picking, if you pick 2nd pick 2 cars, 5th 5 cars, and so on.

Place the driver who you want the most at the top, 2nd most 2nd, and so on until you fill the list based on how many you need.

As I gather the list I will mark off cars from your list that have been taken. I will then take the driver who is highest on your list, that is left.

Please send me a PM with your picks. We are all members here at OS, and it's much easier to deal with it all in one place.

If I mess up, please let me know ASAP.

Please don't submit your picks on this thread, unless you want everyone in front of you to know who you really want.

Finally, don't forget to have fun

Yesterday Dale Jr said the rain last weekend was natures way of saying the race at Pocono should be 400 miles. Today the speedway announced that starting next year both races will be 400 miles.

Yeah, I kind of had a hunch that was coming for a few years now.

Leave it to Dale Jr. to do his typical bitching about how long races are. Every time I listen to his in-car audio at races, he seems to be wishing the race was over at the halfway point!

Not sure what to think about the move. I guess I am mainly in favor of it, though, as the race is generally very long.

they have two races, i can't understand why they didn't have one at 400 and the other at 500 ... in fact, i thought that's the way it used to be

Did you know Dover use to be 500 miles, California 500 miles, Rockingham when it was still on the calendar was 500 miles but all 3 of these track's switched to 400 miles after drivers complaints. The result better racing with more exciting finishes, the same will happen here as well. Jr may have been the one that spoke up about it but this was something that many of they drivers have wanted for a while, and as fan's we will not know the difference in 400 or 500 miles and will be much more pleased with the results.

Assuming everyone is okay with me picking so late, I'll take Kasey Kahne.

I will vote yes to your late vote, but I get half of your points.

That's fine with me. At this point, no pun intended, the only good thing for me would be a win.

That's fine with me. As far as I'm concerned, you can make your pick right up to the moment the pace car pulls down onto the apron to enter pit road on the final pace lap.
