Congrats on the win Br. Yeah, not to many people like Kyle Busch right now, but he did one hell of a job saving that car at least twice tonight.
The cars are now a lot closer to what they was before the 2 car pushing evolved, if you'll remember back they use to never push in the corner because of the same thing that happened tonight. The cars are just to unstable now like they was then with that lowered spoiler to push in the corner.

I liked last night's race. I'm glad they made the cars more unstable and I hope that translates over to the rest of the tracks. I don't like to watch a demolition derby, but there have been far too few wrecks overall in NASCAR over recent years, IMO.

Also, note that they were all gunning for 1st tonight and there were no points involved. They will not race so aggressively again this season except maybe at the All-Star Race.

        New rules for 2013

NASCAR has announced new eligibility requirements for the 2013 Shootout at Daytona, an announcement that signals a return to the annual preseason event’s roots.

Next season’s field will consist of 2012 Coors Light Pole winners and past Shootout winners who have attempted to qualify for at least one race during the 2012 season. Those eligibility standards mirror those in place from 1979-2008, and put greater emphasis on each weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coors Light Pole qualifying session.

The same driver of the 18 car that when it hits crunch time in the chase of NASCAR has 0 wins for the month of October and only 1 in November that being his rookie year. That 18 car? The LeBron James of NASCAR 18 car? Yeah he was okay last night but wait until the end of the year and we'll see where he is.

I'm not a Kyle Busch fan at all but last night that was some damn good saves. I know the car likes to straighten out when it hits the apron but in front of over half the field and just keeping your foot in it. Not too many people can save a car like that.

I don't think anyone else on the Nascar circuit would have been able to do what he did during that race.

                Amazing saves!

That's the thing about live sporting events you forget about past greatness and become a prisoner of the moment. Robby Gordon saved his car in the exact same manner in the same portion of the track in last years 500, Brian Vickers got knocked sideways and drifted completely through a corner the year before that. It was a great save but with that large shark fin on the rear of the car it's easier and more common to see drivers get their cars sideways and out of control and save it.
