right now I would say if your racing Daytona/Tally, you should play on champion difficulty.

Whats crazy is two version ago during the aplha testing, I ran at Dega and Daytona on hard and was fighting to get to the front. I ran Daytona today on hard also, and beat the 2nd place guy by 38 seconds in a 42 lap race. This is a beta though, and things are going to change from build to build -

It's a known issue. They're correcting it as we speak. According to Bob, it worked last week, but they broke it in a recent build.

Any word yet if there will be the ability to start in the lower ranks and work your way up? The removal of that Game Mode is the reason 06 is the last NASCAR game I bought.

So far, no. But based on past titles, it's only the Sprint Cup, no Nationwide or Craftsman Truck series.....

how is this game so far? do clubsport pedals work with this? i was just looking for something to have fun with offline and am on the fence about buying this. any info would be appreciated.

It has issues, but it was the first day of open beta. Multiple controllers do not work, but we're trying to find out from the devs if that's final or if they're planning to include it. I can't use a shifter or a separate pedal set from my wheel currently, unfortunately.

LOL at Terry's eye-shredding picture/resolution.

Due to my vision and one-eye-blind, I can only max out a PC's res at 1024X768. Anything sharper and it's 'too sharp' for me, and too small.

And, as I learned with NASCAR 2003, and multiple shooters, I get motion sick VERY easily on PCs. So I'm console only since about 2004.

You certainly wouldn't have a problem with too small, Dan.

Those are stretched across 3 40" monitors, so the text is about 2 inches tall

Will have to look into this. I have a wheel and it seems a better alternative to iracing right now. I don't know if my 5770 will have enough power, though. I don't PC game so wasn't really a priority when I got it.

I know my 6770 ran it full blown with no issues. I upgraded this month to 7880, so it's a moot point, but I would assume you would be ok with the 5770 - what type of processor do you have?
