    Bristol Week (Predictions)

Guys and Gals, I am fired up. The Bristol races are my favorite races of the year. My predictions go like this not in any particular order:

Jeff Gordon- Always good at Bristol and really needs to bounce back from last week DNF.

Rusty Wallace- God knows Rusty is due and hungary for a win

Kurt Busch- Has been hot at this track the past few races there and seems to be hungary for a win. Like Gordon and Wallace Bristol seems to fit his aggresive driving style.

Mark Martin- Just my sleeper here. He has been running well since the DNF at Daytona. Due for a win.

Matt Kenseth- You cant ever count him out.
"They talk about the Alabama family not being reasonable and realistic. Well hell no, we're not supposed to be reasonable and realistic. We're Alabama, we're supposed to be the best."

    1. Gordon. Agreed on your premise -- runs well at Bristol and needs a rebound from Darlington.

    2. Stewart. An excellent short-tracker.

Picking a winner at Bristol is almost as hard as trying to find a lost contact lens in pitch darkness. Bristol isn't a race -- it's a demolition derby. There aren't winners and losers, only survivors.

Bristol makes for fun television, but it's one of the least racey events in the series. That's overlooked, though, because of all the fender-mashing contact.

    Take care,

Yeah, I think it depends on qualifying. If you're near the front, you're better off. Even though you still have lapped traffic in front of you almost constantly. You're battling guys who are trying to take the lead and then you're battling a guy trying to stay on the lead lap at the same time.

I've got a dark horse pick: Jamie McMurray.

For some reason I don't see Kurt Busch having much success at Bristol this Sunday .. just a gut feeling. I'm thinking Jeff or Rusty, just like everybody else. Can't really give a great prediction until after qualifying, though, since that determines half of your success there.

                      I'm in Bristol, bitches!

Right now I think is NC happy hour, and I'm heading up to the track for the Busch race in a few minutes. In the race pool today I have David Green and Johnny Benson (I had 10th/13 pick )(Purse: $65). OK, enough bragging, I'll probably post again after the race or tomorrow morning.

                            I'm still in Bristol.

Today in the race pool I have Jeff Gordon and Brendan Gaughan (1st/14 pick) (Purse: $70). One thing that I can predict for today is that there will be a caution every 20 laps or so until all the rolling chicanes are taken off the track. That was evident in yesterday's Busch race - What a wild finish!
