So glad Newman got off of that team. Knew it'd go to hell with 4 teams. Stewart still doesn't seem 100% and Harvick and Busch have just been up and down. And of course, Danica.

Maybe so but Harvick's in the chase.

That's not saying much considering my granddaddy could make the Chase with these rules. And he's not in yet. Winning doesn't lock you in unless there are only 15 winners + 1st place. You can't say that with 23 races to go.

Your right you can't say it. But you can say once a few drivers double up on wins that the percentages to make the chase sky rocket.

Exactly, and since we've had 3 races and 3 different winners, that'll still be awhile.

I agree with you. I was just stating other side of the argument. All depends on drivers earning 2 victories.

Name how many years NASCAR has had 15+ winners in one season. Last year the record was set with 16 different winners. In a year that every team started out on the same exact stuff. Everyone was on a fresh slate with new cars. Every crew chief started on a clean slate. By the time they went back to tracks for the second time the higher funded teams had their stuff together and that's when the cream rose to the top. I doubt we'll see 15 different winners in 2014. I hope I'm wrong I want to see other guys win.
