    OSFC- Chicagoland 400

The chase has arrived. And boy it has to be bettered than the garbage produced last weekend

The 10 in the Chase are-

Joshuar, Opdriver, Brew, tacosaban, Bighoff, edwing, bullit, bluengold34, Rules, and Cubfan.

And for being awesome, I get the Awesome exemption. That's allowed right? Nascar would so do it for Jeff Gordon like last year.

Fine I'll let it slide for this season

Once again, if you have any questions, feel free to post here. Cause I'm sure I forgot something

I'm gonna borrow this from Mike,

Pick the amount of cars based on the place you are picking, if you pick 2nd pick 2 cars, 5th 5 cars, and so on.

Place the driver who you want the most at the top, 2nd most 2nd, and so on until you fill the list based on how many you need.

As I gather the list I will mark off cars from your list that have been taken. I will then take the driver who is highest on your list, that is left.

Please send me a PM with your picks. We are all members here at OS, and it's much easier to deal with it all in one place.

If I mess up, please let me know ASAP.

Please don't submit your picks on this thread, unless you want everyone in front of you to know who you really want.

Finally, don't forget to have fun

    Points.
Chase- Everyone in resets to 500. 3 bonus points for each win

None chasers reset back to zero

      For next season.

Same formula, 2 segments. But Reduced from top 5 in each segment to top 4. Those other 2 spots will be reserved for Wildcard entries which will be determined via those with most wins throughout the first 26 races

I don't like the whole segments thing personally, I think it should be the Top 8 plus 2 outside the Top 8 with the most wins after Richmond

The good thing about segments is it gives those way back at end of the first segment a chance. That's why I don't mind the segment thing, but I see where your coming from.

Maybe there could be a points reset that's kept track alongside the normal one, and the Top 8 from the Unreset points plus the Top 2 after the reset not in the chase otherwise

I really don't like the new system in the real Nascar , but it works for us here.

Alright I feel like this is a win win scenario for me. I get the first pick and that will help decide my strategy for the remainder of the chase. If my pick works out then maybe I can get things turned around going into 2015. If my string of hard luck continues then I can use my powers to hex any drivers that I do not want to win the chase. Therefore without further wait, with the first pick of the 2014 chase races I will select......

I predict a failure of some sort on lap 2 and Johnson destroys the right side of his car. But then he'll win back-to-back at Dover and New Hampshire and advance any way. I do like the new system in that someone can't just have a good few races and ride that to staying at the top. If you go cold race 4-6, you could be done. I like giving credit for consistency, but if it means Johnson doesn't win for whatever reason, fantastic!
