Re: Does anyone have nascar 2005 for X-box yet?
i picked it up, did a quick race at Michigan, it just felt fun...it'll take me a while to get to running a clean line (I'm not a pro like Terry and others), but it's got a good feel to it, plus with the Nascar season theme, I know I'll get into this a lot...
plus the street racing is just off the hookNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Does anyone have nascar 2005 for X-box yet?
The career mode is really deep it seems. I'm still trying to learn all of this stuff. So far I'm enjoying it. I'm not a diehard racer by any means, in fact, I pretty much suck at racing games, but the game is hard to put down right now. Now, as mgoblue said, if I can only manage to run a clean line, I might actually accomplish something.Comment

Ok, so who is going to try and do the "unlock Pocono" trick of winning all 34 races in the season mode? Also, proof would be nice as I have a hard time believing that unlocking Pocono would only be accomplished by winning all 34 races in one season.Comment

Re: Does anyone have nascar 2005 for X-box yet?
I really doubt that Pocono is unlockable in the game if EA did in fact not get the rights to use the track in the first place. Seems to me they could get in a whole lot of trouble by not getting permission to use the track and then putting it in the game anyway as an unlockable.
However, someone over on the IGN boards mentioned that EA included a Pocono look-alike track to replace it in the game.Comment

I doubt it too, so until I see proof, then I won't believe it.
On the racing side of 2005, I just had a heck of a race at Talladega between me and Jimmie Johnson. Long story short, there were 16 lead changes in a 47 lap race and the margin of victory for him was .018 seconds.Comment

On a framerate note, I picked up the XBOX version, and if you played it last year, its the same as this year. As you go through the corner the graphics look great (smooth, good FPS), but when you exit down the straight, the framerate slows down and the aliasing picks up. Its like a constant fight between an XBOX and a PS2 game. I picked up 2004 on the PS2 last year and the framerate was more constant, although it was overall a little slower and uglier (jaggies).
Just wanted to compare for those not sure which system to get.Comment
