It should come across the screen and Jeff (race engineer) will tell you that they have turned DRS off.

I've had a few races in the rain and in changing conditions, but I've never experienced quite what you have experienced.

    Edit:

Guess I'll wait till the next patch before I fire my career mode back up. Codemasters confirmed that engine upgrades for McLaren are glitched and don't result in any performance gains. But is it really a glitch?

Hello! Patch 1.6 is now live. You can find the patch notes for this one here: · Players losing vibration / force feedback in multiplayer · Grid penalties for changing parts now apply correctly when reforming the grid after a formation lap · AI will no longer post single sector times as lap times at Monaco · Stats for Public Multiplayer now work correctly (we will, however, be wiping the leaderboards in due course) ·...

Patch has been updated on STEAM:

        · McLaren's Engine Power upgrades will now have an effect on the car when bought and applied.

        · Spec and Multi-Class Races with Classic cars in Grand Prix now work properly.*

        · The player's Team Mate at the start of a career will now always be the one they have chosen

I am still waiting for the console patch. There is supposed to be a fix for the PS4 texture issues, which is really needed. At times, it looks like a ps1/ps2 game.

Even if I was slightly early on the change, other AI cars should of put them on in the coming laps to match the conditions but they didn't. Plus once I went back into the pits to put medium tires back on, the car was a disaster and you couldn't drive it because the track was to slick
            Huh.

I just tried practice session 3 at Russia and there was light rain. They sent me out on ultrasofts for my qualify test....in light rain.....with drs still enabled? And so this thing goes skating around the circuit and I wasn't meeting the team speed expectation. Weird.

Jumped out to main menu and came back to that practice session afresh....same conditions and situation. Could not even select intermediate or wets.

Hopefully they will fix this problem...might have to shelve until they do.

Happily, qualifying and the race in Russia were dry. Hopefully this gets fixed before my next race in the rain...love this game!

Vettel and I chasing each other around again! Here's me passing him mid-race, but we'd revisit this again in later laps. Got first podium finish for 2017, 2nd place in Russia (and yes, Vettel was third).

12 races in and only 1 safety car, which was caused by me. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a setting I can adjust to change their frequency? I have sim damage and SC on obviously.

I saw the safety car and vsc much more in 2016, and only a bit of vsc at all this year so far, but I'm only just getting to Spain.

Short qualifying in Bahrain, holding P11 and ahead of my teammate. Session ends and I drop to P17 and nearly 2 seconds slower than my team mate. I have heard rumblings of an issue with qualifying times as well, not sure if this is one of those. Bahrain used to be a strong track for me in F1 2016.....

If it makes you feel better (and I doubt it will lol), this happens on the XB1 at times too. As does the screen tearing. Hopefully it's a multi-console patch.

Worse than some of the odd LQ textures that pop up from time to time, is the odd shading at some tracks, where all of the sudden it feels like you're driving at midnight on the track surface. It just goes black, as if it's missing.

Odd. I've seen more SC than I had in previous versions. Last year I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I saw it through 2.5 seasons worth of play. This year, in my first season with Williams I saw it in Austrailia, China, and Bahrain to start the season. I started thinking it was a glitch. It didn't resurface again until Baku and Monaco, but Monaco was most definitely my fault lol I didnt' see it at all after Italy though because I started racing 5 laps because of the 25% engine wear glitch that's been patched now. Through my second Williams season, back at 25% I'm on race 8, and have only seen it probably twice, along with one VSC.

My second career with Haas, I'm on race 3. Saw it in Austrailia which helped me pick up the win with good strategy, and some serious blocking by myself as my tires were fading away. Didn't in China or Bahrain though.

This . During qualifying in Bahrain everything was so dark it is hard to see where you are going/identify braking points. I drive no assists so I really have to keep an eye out for landmarks and its nearly impossible right now.

I would suggest quitting the session, or even the game and re-launching. See if that helps. It seems to be random. Through my first season, the only event I saw it happen in was Hungary. I thought it was specific to that track. I just ran there again yesterday and it was perfectly fine. However I ran one of the "invitational" events with the classic cars at China, and everything was blacked out in some shadowy areas. So it seems to be a random texture loading issue. If I had to guess, possibly even related to the other texture issues I see crop up on helmets, and driver uniforms from time to time.

I was going to try quitting the session the next time I saw it and re-loading it to see if that helped. I suspect it will, because I had my practice sessions once at Silverstone and all was fine. Qualifying though had black area's. I'm pretty sure, like 90% sure that qualifying was done in a completely different "game session". So maybe that's a temporary work around?
