You're welcome, enjoy the game because it is great.

I finished my first career race, placed 13th in the toro rosso out of 16 cars that finished the race. I love Australia but my pace is never that great there. Once they put another patch or two out, the game should amazing.

I regularly look at the F1 general discussion threads over on the codemaster fourms (don't, so many users that post there are horrible). It looks like a new patch is due out mid next week that should fix some of the outstanding bugs and fix the horrible texture issues currently on the PS4 version.

Oh jeez, you are so correct about the Codies forums. There is information to be had there, but the troll quotient is really bad.

Australia is one of my better tracks. Monaco is always my disaster track; it's narrow and there is simply no where to go but into a wall, and that damn left coming out of the tunnel....WHAM! LOL

Monaco is my disaster track as well...and with the slightly bigger cars this year....that tracks feels even more narrow.

Chinese GP...managed to get out of Q1 because it was raining. Started 15th and managed a 12th place finish. Was fighting with Stroll for 11th in the closing laps but he broke the end plate on my front wing and it affected the handling on my car too much and I couldn't keep up with him. I did well in sectors 1 and 2 at that track. Sector 3 with that straightaway....I was a sitting duck.

Couple upgrades to my aero and engine waiting for me in Bahrain. But boy oh boy is my first engine worn out already. Gonna try and squeeze one more race out of it.

Monaco is awful for me as well. I usually do not get dissapointed if I just crash out in a career mode race to get it over. I don't care for Barcelona much either, sector 3 usually gets me pretty good as well.

I have to say guys this game is nice. The difficulty slider has given this game a lot of longevity for me. I am like most here Monaco is a tuff nut for me like someone said a couple of post back I just crash out to get it over with. But overall I a enjoying this game.

The screen tearing has always been an issue in this game. It was there last year too. At least on the XB it was. I've noticed it on the XB again this year too, although nowhere near as bad as last years game.

I've usually managed every year to figure out Monaco. At least to the point I can be respectable. It takes alot of practice to get to that point, but man... this year, I've not yet cracked it. Doesnt; matter the car setup, my driving style, weather, nothing. I just can't figure it out yet. I can handle it driving REALLY slow, not that it does me any good lol It just takes ALOT of practice and patience.

Oh I can get around Monaco in time trials.

Throw 19 more cars on the track...I'm lucky to survive turn 1

Exactly this. I can manage in time trials but not so good in traffic at Monaco. A track to remind you just how good those guys really are.

When I come to to it this year for the race, I'm just going to focus on getting round the track and finish, and not sweat my position.

                      A side-moment, please....F1 related.

I just watched the film 'Senna'. I'd heard nothing but good about it and people who liked 'Rush' LOVE this film, so I rented (and subsequently purchased) it on amazon video.

Forget best documentary about racing I've ever seen, the amazing way this footage was all assembled, how spot on everything was, and all authentic and real, this was simply a profound experience to watch.

Guys I can't recommend this highly enough, check it out to not only get your F1 juices flowing, but also for a great film about a remarkable person.

Whew...now it's time to hop back into my ride and try Bahrain.

Funny story about my run at Bahrain...

I usually run well at this track, and amazingly to my surprise still so early in my career with a 'midpack' car like the Haas, I got the pole! Lined up right next to Vettel.

I run 25% races and my pit window opened at lap 5, and I spent those five laps driving my absolute *** off trying to keep Vettel behind me (which I did!).

Around lap 3 my chief said something about the fuel mixture...didn't quite hear it though...

Pit, new tires, try not to crash into the field as you get rocketed out of the pit exit into turn 1 lol. I mean I MASHED my brakes and slotted myself in to the parade. Back to racing and catching up.

Chief says that we're not going to have enough fuel, reduce the mixture.

ruh roh. I don't remember how to do that! I only had to do it once for a race in Canada last year! Gah!!! L1 button??...no that's just status questions about weather, position and tyres!!

                        Pause menu any help?? Nooooo!!!!

Ahh! This is hard to figure out while driving!!!! ****!!

After awhile I just said oh well, I'll just lift and roll earlier...I'm still hanging in there in 2nd! 4 laps to go!

I was told fuel was gone a little over halfway through the final lap, and people were catching up to me because I was lifting and rolling too much.

EEEEEeeoooowwwww!!! Two cars run past, as I am now nursing the car and just making sure I FINISH.

I round the final turn and just start up the last straight to the line and she quits on me....eeeeeeooowww there goes another car past me just as I coast over the line for a 6th place finish that COULD have been a podium if I'd figured out how to fix my mixture!!

The educational part of this post, for any of your new folks (or people with bad memory like me) is that on PS4 you simply push the circle button whilst driving and the mixture adjustment comes right up...a simple left or right click of your D-pad to raise or lower your mixture so you can, you know, finish the race when you LIE on your mileage test in practice!!!

Thanks for reading and laughing at me...I had that a-comin'!

If you enjoyed Senna, then you must watch the newly released film, Williams. Awesome documentary about Frank Williams.

I'll eventually pick it up, Project CARS 2 is next on my list first though, and maybe Forza 7 later. I barely touched F1 2016 first off.

About Senna, I grew up being a fan of him (and Gilles Villeneuve), and having seen "Senna" film, it's so depressing and heartbreaking but a good film otherwise.

@Luetinent Dan I'm on Xbox I hit the b button, which on PS4 should be the the red O button. The fuel mix is top option. Man the quite a situation you had at Bahrain. Right now I am in the last race of the season with Ferrari and 10 points out of first. The reason I can you about mix is the last couple of races I have had some mis-fortunes and I had to toggle my mixtures. I hope this helps.

Yeah thank you The last part of my Bahrain Damage story was finding out how to bring up the MFD and work the mixture, which I figured out by just running a quick race (not in career) and fiddling with it while everyone blew by me.

                                Good luck on your season!!
