Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
Do y’all only race on Saturday nights? I’d participate if it was a different night or when college football season is over. Just bought a Logitech g29 and getting used to it.Comment

Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
Anyone out there still playing PC2?
We host nightly races and you are welcomed to join us!
We run hosted races using a second PS4 (PSN: runn2nd) that serves as a dedicated server. We have been running rooms with 10-14 humans pretty consistently for the last couple weeks.
Room is setup as follows:
- Server times - 8pm - 10pm (PST)
- Race length - 25 minutes
- Qualify length - 20 minutes
- Current Tracks - Watkins Glen (GP), Sonoma (GP) and Laguna Seca.
- Cars - GTEs
- No aids allowed
- Penalties all enforced
- No damage
- Standing starts
- Setups - Mix between open / fixed
- Use of a wheel is highly encouraged but not mandatory (as long as you can hold a line).
Notes: We will boot people immediately during qual. if they go backwards on the track, wreck people intentionally or abuse the mic (cursing, yelling or singing).
I'll try to post whenever we fire up the server. Or simply look out for server runn2nd or friend me on PSN - Runn1st to see if we are on.
Here's a quick video with a sample size. (See 1:07:41 mark)

Disclaimer - Not all races go smooth but most do. Also, we previously did rolling starts but have since changed to standing starts.
Cheers!Last edited by RunN1st; 11-28-2017, 09:13 PM."The older I get, the faster I was!"

Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
I’m down to race with you guys. Won’t be able to do every night. I grabbed a G29 and have a Playseat Challange on the way. I’m finally getting the hang of the wheel and starting to turn faster laps than I ever did with a controller.Comment

Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
I've been undergoing the tedious, but necessary, work of finding good Xbox controller settings for Project Cars 2. PC2 features much better control out of the box with a controller than the first game, but it's still not right.
Here's the best I've found so far of about 15 settings I've tested with the same car and track. The only variable is my degree of intoxication.
Steering Deadzone - 0
Steering Sensitivity - 25
Throttle Deadzone - 0
Throttle Sensitivity - 10
Brake Deadzone - 0
Brake Sensitivity - 25
Clutch Deadzone - 5
Clutch Sensitivity - 25
Speed Sensitivity - 100
Damper Saturation - 90
Controller Damping - 35
Controller Vibration - 90
YMMV. Will update as I try more, if needed. But I really like the above settings. Fast, predictable and stable.Xbox Live: pk4425Comment

Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
A patch of the PC version of the game was released today. Spent a little time playing tonight, and first thoughts are very positive. The Formula C car tires actually get warm now in career so I was able to continue with that. A lot of other fixes too. The patch notes are much more detailed this time around.
Hopefully other feedback is just as good as I would like to get back to playing this game more regularly. Ton of content here if it just works right.Comment

Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
Not sure if you realized this but the default tire in PC1 was Racing Soft and for PC2 it is Racing Hard. Try changing to tire to Racing Soft and see if you have the same experience as PC1.Comment

Re: Project Cars 2 Review (PS4 Pro)
There is no keeping a car on the tracks in this game. I'm doing races with the computer set to 0 and Im still getting slaughtered because I can't stay on the track. I'm pretty much sticking only with Gran Turismo because I can stay on tracks much easier.
And, it actually bothers me because I know that this game is phenomenal and I know that it's deep with numerous cars and numerous tracks and I know that it's technically sound but if I can't keep a car on a track then it's just no fun to play.
