Do a race with practice sessions. They give you goals on things to test that will greatly help you learn the track. You can keep on resetting the session to keep on practicing as well.

That's how i learn a new track. One of the things they have is gates you have to drive through which helps you learn the line and figure out if you are super slow in certain areas.

Agree with this 100 percent. It makes the game so much better!

As a newcomer to this series, I'm really impressed with the whole "race weekend" experience. I do like a realistic game, but I also don't mind visual aids that help me optimize my performance, and so the "Programs" that are baked into the practice sessions are really helpful to me. I'm especially enjoying the Track Acclimation one. Of course when I really want to race seriously all the aids can go off, but when I'm just learning a track I'll take all the help I can get....lol.

The A.I is definitely much tougher than 2019, they are fast and clean.
Handling ERS is much easier this year, I just have to remember to shut it off before the corners.
Haven't tried online yet but would love to race in a league with some guys from here. Codemasters have definitely knocked it out of the park this year and hope to see y'all on the track.

The A.I is definitely much tougher than 2019, they are fast and clean.

Congratulations braves, it may take some getting used to but once you do you will never want to got back to a controller for racing games. Make sure you have a sturdy place to attach it. Let me know if you have any questions.

I had no intentions of getting F1 2020 as I'm more of a casual F1/racing fan and figured that my copy of F1 2019 (a game that I enjoyed) on PS4 would scratch my occasional F1 itch. I just recently finished building my first gamin PC (I know, late to the party) and was looking on Steam for a games to purchase experience on my PC. Much to my surprise, F1 2020 was highly rated and listed in the top 10 on Steam. I pulled the trigger and downloaded the game.

Having played for about 2 hours, two thoughts: 1. F1 2020 is MUCH better than 2019 and 2. Get the game on PC is you're a PC gamer. Playing F1 2020 maxed out (2070 Super) on a 1440p/144hz monitor is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Probably the best word I could describe it is immersive. I don't have wheel so I've been playing on an Xbox Elite 2 controller and have found it very playable/enjoyable. The My Team mode is a great addition and I will probably spend most of my time with the game in this mode. Still trying decide on a team name and color scheme

Bottom line, I echo the review and believe F1 2020 is worth a buy even if you've played the last several F1 games. And if you can, get it on PC.

Do you have triples yet? Add that and you will never want to go back. Lol unfortunately my PC is on its last legs and while I can run Triples in iRacing, I just don't have the power under the hood to run triples on F1 2020. But it's still a awesome game even on a single monitor.

LOL that's what I hear!! I'm just using one monitor at the moment and it works well. If I went out and purchased two more IPS monitors, the wife will pitch a fit!! LMAO!! If I can find the same monitor on sale I may spring for a couple more but then I would want to buy a wheel, and so on...

And correction for my original post, this my first gaming PC I built on my own. I had a pre-built I purchased last fall and it wasn't until I realized how cheap and under whelming the components were did I decide to build my own rig. Best decision I've made when it comes to gaming but will keep my consoles too, I'm a fanboy of gaming no matter the system

Echoing what Jeffrey99 said...I didn't go back and run F1 2019 to compare, but it sure feels better in triples this year, even if they don't have "true" triple screen support. I take my sims very seriously. This isn't really a "sim", but it's fun as Hell regardless.

Running on a Fanatec Podium DD2 (I swap to their Formula V2 with the podium paddle shifter module on it for F1), Ricmotech GTPro 3 Hydraulic Pedals, and triple 32" 144Hz curved displays. My 4th monitor keeps the track map from simhub on it, and my phone that's mounted on my DD2 is my car instrumentation.

Even though the side monitors are 'stretched' some, this game absolutely feels incredible in a trips setup. I don't know what they've done to the engine (some sharpening perhaps), but it looks significantly better than it did in the prior version on the same rig/PC. And even the stretching doesn't seem as dramatic. Mirrors are less distorted, looks quite a bit better all-around.

So I am on standard not casual and there is no way to adjust the practice length from short. Has anyone found a way to change it? I have practice set to full, but then for length it has short and I can’t change it? The only way to get the full practice is enabling pro career which I do not want to do.

After a week of playing, I have to say that this game really is a joy. As I said in my earlier post, I'm new to the F1 sport and game so I'm still learning the nuances of the sport, but I'm having a blast in doing so! Through this game and the Netflix series, I've gotten to know the teams and drivers almost to the point where I don't have to keep going to the F1 website to see who is who.

I'm playing on PS4 Pro with a Thrustmaster T150/2 pedals. I know it's a pretty basic wheel and pedal system but it suits my rookie needs, and it keeps the fun factor elevated.

I'm learning!

I am really enjoying the F2 cars, they make for some good A.I racing once you find a good difficulty level. If you haven't tried them give them a shot.
