Are most of you using the xbox controller or a steering wheel ?? What wheel is best ??

As far as Toca 2 is concerned, I agree with everyone else in this thread. This game rocks !!!

I finally finished it tonight! Whoo Hoo!! 100 percent. Just in time for Forza.

Sadly, I don't have a wheel, so I used the controller the whole time. I've never been a big racing game fan, but Toca won me over. I just picked up Colin McRae 2005, and I have a feeling that one's gonna blow me away too. And with Forza on my "to buy" list, I may be grabbing a wheel soon myself.

Last year I spent 2 weeks in Fort Wayne Ind. Outside of weekend trips to Indy I spent my time playing Toca 2 on my XBox. It is a damn good game and without it god only knows what I would have done with myself in Fort Fun...lol

Controller here. No Xbox wheel is worth the money. And a hands-on first impression on the new $150 Forza wheel from a guy I know was not very impressive.

The only wheel that's even serviceable for me on the Xbox (and I have 5 of them) is the MadCatz. If you're going to race online, you have to get the XBox-only MadCatz, because it has the port for the voice communicator. The universal one doesn't. The only problem for me (I have both the XBox only and the universal) is that the XBox one disconnects randomly. That's bad. Maybe they solved it since I bought mine, I don't know.

I'll also be purchasing the Fanatec wheel soon, but not alongside Forza.

I'll chime in and give praises to TOCA 2 as well. It is the best sim/racer $ for $ out there. I do hope they add trailers to the tractor races. I think that would add a whole new level to the racing style.

And I'd like to thank pk500 for recommending an oldie but goodie game, Ferrari F355. I bought it recently and I really enjoy playing it as well. Until reading pk's post about it, I've only played it in the panoramic version (3 screens) in the arcade spending ridiculous amounts of money on it.

              Burn:

Glad you're enjoying F355, man! Still the best driving model of any console game I've ever played, and that includes the Gran Turismo series. But it doesn't include Forza, which could change all of my impressions of driving models and racing games starting tomorrow.

Still, as I said, Forza might be the second coming, and I'll still find time for TOCA 2. It's that good and that much fun. Still has an active Xbox Live community, too. We'll see how Forza affects that.
