That came out before Memorial Day. I think they've released most of the major games from the past other than Mario 3. Now it seems it is going to be more hit and miss on the games.

I havent played my Wii in months since i beat Streets of Rage 2 several times. I think im puttin it up for sale. The 360 is getting all my attention since Halo 3 dropped and NBA 2k8 coming in a few days.

Yeah, that and lots of stuff down the pike. I'd never sell a console because I'd want to buy it back eventually...I picked up the Wii for long term, sometimes any system has doldrums.

Agreed, but Christmas is my deadline.

                • Sin and Punishment (Nintendo 64, 1-2 players, 1,200 Wii Points) -- You're not hallucinating with that price. Not only have you had to wait seven years for it, you're also going to have to pony up a couple of extra bucks. Of course, there is some extra translation here, so you can probably justify it to yourself, especially if you're dying to experience Treasure's classic shooter. Besides, it's really good. We'd rather pay $12 for this than $10 for Yoshi's Story any day of the week.
                • Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (NES®, 1 player, rated E for Everyone, 600 Wii Points) -- This remake of the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2 is being released on its own for the first time in the U.S., and you're paying an extra buck for the privilege. Of course, you're also getting it with the original NES graphics, so maybe that's worth it to you if you're the curious sort. But please, do yourself a favor and buy Sin and Punishment first.

My streak ends today, as I'll be buying SMB Lost Levels for sure. I have no idea what Sin and Punishment even is. Sounds like Joystiq.com likes it though.

Figures a decent game on the VC (SMB Lost Levels) comes out after having to sell my Wii to pay some bills...............

I'm buying 'Lost Levels' as well, and I think that sets a good precedent for future VC games that were once Japan only being released here (*cough* Earthbound Zero *cough*).

I'd take Earthbound on the VC (the one that was released here to begin with).

Just had a HUGE scare. I go and get my wiimote and fire up the Wii.
No power light! I unplug and plug back in...nothing. I start cussing because I was about to open MLB Power Pro's.

SO I get online to Nintendo and in the suggestions they say to unplug everything including motion bar, memory cards etc and wait 90 seconds for the power supply to reset.

I did all that and I have power now. I'll monitor it but at least it's working now.

That's happened to me twice. I called Nintendo the first time and they told me to do that as well and it worked!

I went from total dissappointment to joy in 10 minutes. So far with the Wii I've had good customer service. My original Wii had bad video. Nintendo sent out a new system to me(had it in about 4 days) and when I recieved it I returned the bad one. Now this quick fix. I wonder if it's a fail safe in the power supply like a surge protector? Either way I was very happy when it powered up.

That's one thing I really like. While I'm pissed about having bad video AGAIN, the customer service rep was very friendly and accomodating when I requested a new system as opposed to a refurbished one. He asked his supervisor, and now my system is headed to Redmond as opposed to Syracuse, NY to the subcontractor.

I just wish I didn't have to redownload all the VC games and add the Wii codes once more.

How do you redownload them? Does the system remember that you bought them? Because a new system wouldn't know correct?

Or do they pull the XBL thing and give you free points to get the games again.
