1080 was HOT back in the day, but has since been overshadowed by the SSX series.

I see the bundle at certain places, but Im not paying 450 for this thing. Any info on a release of the $250 system. Thanks?
Also, is there a way to play a singles game in the sports tennis game??Comment

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
The best way to find a wii is to get up early on sunday morning and look in the ads for circuit city and best buy. They will say when they have wii's available. Then go there before they open on Sunday morning and be there as soon as they open.
Yes, you can have singles matches in the tennis game.Comment

so- its actually still that scarce that you have to wait in a line for it??
Thats nuts. Hopefully next month will be better.
Im guessing right now all these systems that are in the ads are being picked up by people with nothing better to do, but resell them for double the price.Comment

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
Best bet is to call a store like TRU and find out when they normally get their deliveries. Here in St. Louis, the TRU in my suburb gets deliveries in on Thursday from Nintendo. My wife stopped by every week for the last few weeks and finally they got some in yesterday. I think there has been a backorder for the past week and a half, besides the ones that CC got in last weekend.PSN: sportdan30

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
Just got a Wii and have a few quick questions:
-Do I need a memory card, and if so, how big? What are memory cards used for?
-I have wireless internet in my house. Is there a preferred wireless adapter to get for the Wii?
-What exactly is virtual console? I am guessing you need to be connected to the internet to use it. Is it sort of like a Nintendo store for older games?
Thanks for any and all info!NCAA: Michigan Wolverines
MLB: St. Louis Cardinals
NHL: St. Louis Blues
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

You don't need a memory card. There is 512mb internal to the Wii and that's more than enough. I've barely used any and I have quite a few saves and VC downloads. There is also built in wireless so you don't need an adapter. You are correct. Virtual console games are older Nintendo games that are playable on the Wii. For example, I have Punch Out and Super Mario 1, 2 and 3. You do need to be connected to the internet. They are priced depending on the system. NES games are 500 each, SNES are 800, etc.
If you're looking at games, here are some of my favorites: Super Mario Galaxy, Zack and Wiki, MLB Power Pros and the original Rayman Raving Rabbids. All but Super Mario can be had for $29.99. I just got Endless Ocean which I hear is a nice game. Can't wait to get home and play it. Metroid Prime is also great.Last edited by caseyd; 01-25-2008, 04:23 PM.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095
