Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
The original NES Final Fantasy is out on the VC...
[you know, if you didn't pick up a remake of it on the PSone, the PSP, etc.]
Still, a good sign if they'll release all the NES/SNES (and hopefully the Famicom and Super Famicom) Final Fantasy's on the VC.

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
Question about downloaded VC titles:
If i have some VC titles stored on an SD Card, can i take that card over to a friend's house and play them on his Wii? (either straight from the card or after moving them onto his Wii console memory, if thats possible)Comment

I believe that is a negative. That it only plays on the system that it was downloaded too.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Excitebike: World Rally
20 courses
Level Creator
Level sharing with friends
4 player online head 2 head
3 camera angles

I picked this up a couple weeks ago. It's a nice remake of the old franchise. A nice touch up on the graphics. The 2 new camera angles are nice, but I still prefer the old school cam from the side which is in the game. The online worked quite well. I was even finding people to race at 4am EST. The level creator is as cool as it was before.
It's worth the 10 bucks if you are fans of the old Excitebike.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
OK 109 pages is a lot.
Can someone tell me how controllers work for the virtual console? I got one, haven't opened it yet... But when I do I'm going to be downloading those classic games for sure.
Thing is I'm confused with the controllers. Something about a "classic" controller for the SNES games, and the Gamecube controller for the N64 games, and the regular Wiimote for the NES games. How do they all work for the games - do they feel natural and are they responsive? And how do the classic and Gamecube ones plug in?Last edited by MC Fatigue; 12-05-2009, 10:49 PM.Comment

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
From what I remember, the wiimote will play any NES games from the VC. To play SNES and later games, you need either a gamecube controller or the classic controller.OK 109 pages is a lot.

I really like the classic controller, it feels nice. It's real similar to the SNES controller if you remember it. It plugs into the wiimote in the same port the nunchuck does. If you use a Gamecube controller, there are ports on the Wii that they plug into. They all are very responsive.

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
I just got one and got Mario Galaxy and it's really cool so far. Got awesome reviews, too - which is why I asked for it. I'd suggest it; and I'm only 20 minutes in. It feels a lot like Mario 64, but better and newer.Comment
