Grabbed Mario 64, still a fun game and looks clean. The reports that the Wii upscales the VC games to 480p must be true because I'm sure N64 games never looked this clean.

The controls with the classic Wii controller are great.

Question: With the Virtual Console games, can you have multiple game saves? I'm sure both myself and my girlfriend will want to play all the Marios and other old school games - does the Wii have separate "profiles" to accomplish that like the 360, or what?

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion

4 new games hitting the Virtual Console tomorrow are:

            Gunstar Heroes
A classic Sega Genesis shooter that plays like Contra on crack.

            Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
The Genesis version of the puzzler design also known as Puyo Pop and Kirby's Avalanche.

            Dungeon Explorer
A TurboGrafx game, like an evolved version of Gauntlet and supporting up to five players.

            Alien Crush
A surprise TurboGrafx release, this one is a pinball title with an extraterrestrial theme.

Did anyone try to connect to the VC online shop today? I tried a few times and it said the network wasn't available or something and to try again later.

                  Anyone had this before?

I just connected to the shop with no problem. None of the new games were up yet.

Yes, I've had that problem before. It just means to try again later, they might be updating the Shop or there's problems on their end.

When you go look at the downloadable games and look at the info on a specific game, it shows you which controllers you will need to have to play the game. Looks like that to me anyways.

I've seen that before, I couldn't remember if you can see that before you downloaded the game or not though. Thanks.

Yep you can as I haven't downloaded anything yet. Once you select the game and hit info it shows little pics of the controllers needed.
So maybe this will help with the "what controllers" questions.

I have played multiplayer with my girlfriend a few times. The person who is second player has to push the start button.
