Kid Icarus was probably my favorite NES game growing up. I'm not sure why, but I loved it.

Is that the SNES Kirby? That game was OK. I have never played Ice Climber.

I've actually never played Kid Icarus before, at least I can't remember ever playing it. Is it worth $5?

I've never played Ice Climbers either, but I do know they sucked on Super Smash Bros Melee :P

I believe Kid Icarus is well worth $5, but I am probably biased! It was released on the same day as Metroid and was often overlooked for that reason. It also looks A LOT like Metroid in its level designs. It is set in Greek mythology times and you play as a cupid-like character who is sent to rescue a goddess.

I think you will enjoy it as long as you remember it is 20 years old now. I know I have been saving points for it to release.

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion

I have a connectivity question, I normally had my main pc / broadband modem / broadband router all set up to send signals to my wireless adapter (sons pc) and my 360's wireless adapter, now I'm trying to connect the Wii...

My question is this, My Wii saw my network by searching for it (it showed the network's name (not secured)) so we tried it and it connected and it is online now.

Does this mean that everyone in my Townhome complex can be tapping into my connection since I have this router?

If so, I need someone to be able to tell me how to secure it for only me and my family to use. I had to turn my firewalls off on my pc and my sons (but with a wireless router I know I dont need it anyways). I just want to make sure nobody is using a wireless adapter to tap into my network.

I did not realize that the Wii has its own Wireless adapter built in. It found my network with no connections what so ever.

Yes, if your router is unsecured, anyone could be logging on and stealing your bandwith.

Go into the router's settings, and set a WEP code (the Wii uses WEP).

If it had the cord vs the wireless adapter i mean.

                    Thanks again in advance.

Yeah, if you give your router a WEP key, every wireless item you use, will also need the key.

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion

Yo Bolt, the Wii also uses WPA as well as WEP (the DS only uses WEP). While the latter is more secure, the WPA security option allows you to just come up with some password, like "Boltmanrocks". WEP generates a series of keycodes which use a combination of letters and numbers (hence the increased security). Using that option allows an easier transfer option (for your in-laws) and something you won't forget if you don't like logging into your router settings.

To do what? Just type 192.168.1.1 into your address bar, the default password is "admin" (no username), go to "Wireless" and then "Security" (or something similar) and you can set everything up.

I'm all set, thing is, he said if I get off the ethernet cord from my 360 back to the wireless adapter, I need to call them and add it to my new "secured network".
