Re: Next Gen System
Re: Next Gen System
The 360 is cheaper (big plus) and is better for online. I expect sports games on both systems to be virtually identical as well. However, there are three reasons to choose the PS3 over the 360.
1. MLB The Show. If you like to play baseball games, this is considered the best title out there.
2. Blu-Ray DVDs. This format has the lead in HD movies and if you have an HDTV this is a nice feature that justifies the bigger increase in money.
3. Don’t need a roster device. If you like college sports games, you won’t need to buy a roster device since a USB memory stick is all that’s required.
I'm still on the fence and the PS3 is very expensive but it looks like 2008 for me at the earliest for an upgrade. I would probably go with the PS3 for myself especially since I don't play online.Comment

Re: Next Gen System
Right now even without thinking online I think it's the 360. With online it's a no brainer. Also once there are games that people want to play on the PS3 and good playtime adds up then we can compare failure rates. Right now I wouldn't compare a 360 with many hours of running games to a PS3 system stuck at the dashboard. IMO of course.Joshua:

The ps3 is the more reliable console 360s have been failing since day 1 and so far the ps3 has had a very low failure rate. With all the negativity towards sony I think they deserve credit when its do.I dont care who sells more consoles it dosnt affect me either way I enjoy both consoles and my 360 does get most of my playing time for the time being even though I have had to send it in 4 times.Comment

Again you can't compare failure rates until the PS3 is actually playing games full tilt. The ps3 is the more reliable console 360s have been failing since day 1 and so far the ps3 has had a very low failure rate. With all the negativity towards sony I think they deserve credit when its do.I dont care who sells more consoles it dosnt affect me either way I enjoy both consoles and my 360 does get most of my playing time for the time being even though I have had to send it in 4 times.
I'm still on launch system so I "guess" I've been one of the lucky ones.
In any case I know some people have had terrible luck with the 360 so in that respect I hope the PS3 does better.Last edited by Skyboxer; 03-19-2007, 09:14 PM.Joshua:

Re: Next Gen System
It should due to the extra 200.00. I just need to stay out of the "Failures" topics because I admit I'm biased due to the fact I'm on a launch 360 system.
So for me if my 360 failed today I would go right out and get another 360 over a PS3 (if I didn't already have one).
I just hope the online is better by the time The Show hits.Joshua:
