I only have Unchartered, but it made quite a difference....not that the game needed it, but things just looked sharper...It's just a matter of perhaps adjusting your tv afterwards if you think that this new setting makes things too dark. But the black level goes way up, which is nice. I recommend everyone try it just to see if they like it.

Yep. I was planning to buy a HD-DVD Bluray combo player for around 500 bucks (It cost 800 but I had 200 in Gift Cards and would have sold my add-on for about 100) but after seeing the Show and playing Uncharted, I decided to go with the PS3. Now I have both and dont have to worry about missing out on movies because I dont have a bluray player.

To be honest right now my PS3 is a movie player. The Show and Uncharted are the only games I play on it.

Those are the only two games I have as well. Thinking of getting some type of cooling device. While quieter than the 360, it still gets pretty warm.

Cool. Can't wait to see. I might already have it enabled but after I got my new TV I never thought to check it out.

Haha... I knew a Sports nut like you couldn't pass up the Show. Check your PM's.

The PS3, IMO, handles media slightly better than the 360. The same media file seems to be displayed a bit sharper on the PS3.

In March Hot Shots Golf 5, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Haze(all PS3 exclusives) will be out. And then in June, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be out. Big year for the PS3 this year.

I think if Bluray wins the forma war (which it appears to be), this will be huge for the PS3. This combined with some good games coming soon could really help sales.

I have mine in standby mode. No problems here. Don't really see why you would shut it down unless you don't use yours for weeks or more.

Yeah but games take a lot of room. Look at Oblivion or Devil May Cry which takes up 5gb of space. And is a mandatory install.
