To this day games are being ported over and not being cleaned up on the PS3 which is unfortunate. NCAA 08 (Basketball), NFL Tour are recent examples. Although both are EA games.

Burnout Paradise is being built on the PS3, that's a start.

Last night, I saw a sweet commercial for Burnout Paradise marketed specifically for the PS3. You never would have seen something like this a year ago. I'm seeing more and more PS3 commercials, and less 360 commercials. Maybe it's my imaginination. I'm very happy howerver that Sony has finally decided to go a different direction with their marketing of the PS3.

yep, if they improved the live service there would be no need for the 360.

With HD-DVD looking closer to dead every year, the issues MS security patches cause with roster makers, as soon as PSN gets up to speed, I very well may end up a PS3 exclusive person.

In any case, I agree whole heartedly. The PS3 is just a solid console that gives me such confidence in its reliability every time I turn it on. It's quiet, blu ray movies look fantastic, and the games are getting better and better.

By the way, did anyone else notice how quickly this particular thread picked up new posts after MLB The Show '08 debuted it's new additions? New threads were created with inquiries about the different PS3 configurements and so on. It just goes to show you that one fantastic sports game along with a couple excellent non-sports game can fuel people's interest.

yeah there seems to be a lot of people turning to the PS3 over the past couple months. I've wondered if it is the new PS3 games coming out or just that people are tired of worrying about the 360 breaking.

I've got both, but I feel happier about my PS3...pure hardware it's way better than the 360. Just sucks that the PS3 online blows. I still will pick up most online games for 360 because Live has been much better (and more people play online there, at least people I play). Single player games I'll get for PS3 as long as it's not technically deficient.

When it comes to killer games where one says I must have the system because of that game, Sony doesn't have one. Not yet anyway. I know The Show but I'm talking about normal people. Not us sport freaks.

Perhaps Haze will be that game.

If there is 1 negative of the packaging of the ps3 it's that they give you neither a hdmi or a component cable. You would think they would considering the Blue-ray and high-def gaming capabilities of the system.

Yeah I always wondered why they didn't included something from the beginning. At least for their top console.

I bought 2 from Monoprice for 21 that was including shipping, great price..and both were 1.3.

I know they are; I just feel like it's not anywhere on the horizon. I think they're really concerned with online and Blu-ray development of the system, and rightfully so.

If I could somehow hook up my PS3 to my cable STB via HDMI and record shows... wow!
