Ok, so I'm really seriously contemplating switching from the 360 to the PS3. I love how the PS3 is so much more wide open from accessories to most games. I'm a below average gamer. I play some sports games, but I usually don't have a ton of time on my hands so I like games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band that I can play for 15 minutes and be done. The big downside would be that I have to buy all of that stuff again for the 360.

I'd love to play The Show, and that's a big reason for a switch. But, how does the downloadable content like movies and TV shows compare? I do a lot of that on my 360 and I don't want to lose any of those capabilities.

With the PS3 as cheap as it is, I'm definitely thinking of switching but what do you guys think?

I started out as a 360-only player and made the switch to PS3 a couple years ago. Reliability was the driving force behind my switch... my 360 destroyed two of my games (scratched Just Cause and cracked NCAA 08) and RROD'd, which Microsoft replaced with a system that didn't work either. Sorry, Halo, Gears of War and Forza are not worth all that, though I do miss playing those games.

It's a good time to switch if you are considering it:

• Slim PS3 just launched
• New lower price
• One of the best games ever in Uncharted 2 now available
• Netflix streaming capability just announced

Add this to the fact that you're getting a BluRay player, built-in wireless, free online gaming, and the ability to throw some downloaded movies from your computer onto a flash drive and play them on your TV, and you've got a pretty good deal IMO.

For Netflix there's some kind of disc that you have to have in the drive for streaming until 2010.

I have it on the 360 and they don't ever put movies worth watching. Most of them are old. A few new ones every now and then

Dude, there are tons of good watch now movies, and if you throw in all the tv shows they put up, you've got a ton of options.

I am so thrilled with my purchase...I have put videos and music on my Ps3 and it was a snap!! Via the Ps3 browser I can Access ATDHE.NET and Justin.TV It's not as good as a regular computer but during a football game I may have to restart 1 time.. Not bad... Now Netflix??? Got my SOundbar yesterday, New Tv in the next couple of months I'm F'n set!!!!

We know it's coming since we already have 7 and FFT, and those were released in Japan several weeks before going stateside. FF8 dropped in Japan some weeks ago.

Have to say, Trine is a pretty long game. It's definitely one of the best on PSN too. The only thing letting it down is polish. Sometimes the controls feel a bit sloppy, some of the physics needed a bit more work and the voice acting/narration is C grade. Not only is their choice of words stupid ('they had not seen any man, woman or child for ages'), sounding like it was written by a highschooler and not suiting the style and plot, but they even manage to pronounce Trine differently on a number of occasions. Sometimes it is 'treen' and other times it is 'trine'.

Great game though!
