...except he won't know because PS1 (or PS2 for that matter) games don't show up on the friends list like PS3 games do.

But he's right - PS1 games work on all of 'em. Not bad to have a backup in case the disc gets scratched though, right?

I had the same issue kind of. I got a refurbished PS3 and I forgot to initially deactivate my accounts before I backed up my data, so when I restored it, my data will say that I have the system activated, but it really isn't. So just go to Account Management -> System Activation (?), then choose to deactivate the account (for both game and video if you have any videos downloaded), then re-activate it right after. You should be fine then.

That's only assuming you had the same issue I did.

Finally Sony has updated the Sony web site. I am hoping that we can login without issues moving forward.

Same here. I went to the playstation website forums and saw other people having the same problem. The network must be down for some reason.

Yeah pretty sure thats the same error I'm getting. When you try to sign in it says "You have been signed out of Playstation Network". Hopefully this doesn't last too long I wanted to play some COD.

what models do you have? I have an 80GB.

I can't imagine its system specific, but never hurts to check.
