I'm not sure. Save your game, reset your PS3 and see if it lets you back on.

yeah, looks like a software bug that affects the fatty models.

It's messing up the time/date which makes the DRM licenses invalid for downloaded items. Game saves may become corrupted, and trophy info that wasn't synced may be lost forever.

It doesn't matter what you do with your ps3, if it's going to fall victim to this, it already would have. It has nothing to do with PSN or what firmware you're on.

Poor timing for this as well. Sony has been doing great lately and has a huge month ahead for them in terms of huge releases. Hopefully this is fixed soon and people get their saved data back.

Sit and wait for them to fix it I guess. And hope none of your saved data is corrupted. Everything is fine on mine except I can't sign on to PSN and my time/date is Dec. 31, 1999. Some people are saying their saved data, trophies, etc are gone or corrupted.

And to Shauk25 I would completely disconnect your playstation's connection if I were you.

Im sorry but how many times are you going to ask complete strangers on a message board about what you should do? Nobody here has any inside knowledge, not to mention nobody has answered you which should speak volumes as well. Do whatever you want, nobody here has any idea so stop asking the same thing over and over again.

Is there a way to tell if it is corrupted if you are unable to boot up the game associated with it? The only game I care about is MAG.

You asked the same question at least 5 times though...

Continuing to ask the same question doesn't result in more answers...

I'm not sure, just go to your game data on your PS3 menu and if it's corrupted I think it will say it is. At least thats what other people have said.

When I went to mine everything looked normal. All my saved data was still present.

I have a fat 60gb. Was able to play games and even though I couldnt sign into PSN, God of War III demo said it completed while I was in the 2nd period of NHL10. I did I have one corrupt theme and something else flashed a date of 1999. I dont remember what it was.
