      PSN Store update:

February 28, 2008 - Looks like the music fan will have a lot to look forward to this week on the PSN, as add-on tracks for Rock Band and Guitar Hero III comprise the majority of the update for the PSN. Take a look below:

      Add-on Game Content

      PAIN
      Scurv Dogg Character ($0.99)

      Rock Band
"March of the Pigs" - Nine Inch Nails ($1.99)

"The Collector" - Nine Inch Nails ($1.99)

"The Perfect Drug" - Nine Inch Nails ($1.99)

Nine Inch Nails Track Pack 1 ($5.49)

*Note: If you previously purchased any of the following Rock Band tracks, newer versions are now available. Visit the PLAYSTATION Store and re-download them from your Download List free of charge. Online play/leaderboards/rankings are not affected by this. You won't be punished for not downloading them again, however, as these bug fixes have no effect on gameplay.

      "Can't Stand Losing You"

      "Roxanne"

      "Synchronicity II"

      "Police Pack 01"

      Brass in Pocket"

      "Limelight"

Well it was working for awhile but the drops came back with a vengeance a few days ago. I think it may be a router issue. I've heard that Linksys routers have that problem.

I've got a new Netgear router that I'm going to try to see if it's any better.

UPDATE: With the new Netgear router, my laptop drops seem to be fixed. Still too early to tell for sure but so far, so good Looks like my old Linksys router didn't play well with other devices on the wireless side.

I'll be switching my PS3 over to wireless later today to see if the drops are fixed there as well.

Only time will tell but early indications are good

I played my 1st online game with the ps3 last nite(nba2k8). And it was laggy all 4 games. On XBL my games was always smooth like playing offline. Is there anything i can do? I got it wireless right now do i need to hook the wire up to it?

Theres nothing you can really do. I use my 360 for all my online needs. Played The Show 08 last night on the PS3. And it was a lag fest the entire game.

Basically. You can try wired, and see how that works for you. For me, it's really not an option unless I want to move my TV.

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux

I don't know if this issue has been posted before. I didn't find anything in the Search feature.

I randomly lost my connection today. I checked my messages, it was working fine. 30-45 minutes later, I was logged out and I couldn't sign back in. It told me to check the Network Settings. When I did, it was unable to obtain an IP address. I'm not sure exactly what he did, but my brother corrected that issue. Now it's telling us there's a DNS error.

My DSL is working fine here on my computer, and our laptop is working with the router fine. The PS3 shows a good signal with our Netgear router (which has been working great with everything, including the PS3) and that it has a connection, but I still can't get anything to work.

We've tried everything, and Google isn't solving anything. This is very frustrating...

EDIT: Now my laptop and Wii can't get a connection. Everything has a good signal, but won't connect.

Basically, we get what we pay for......in this case, we pay nothing so we basically get nothing of quality. Said but true!!!

Some games play well on PS3 but PSN is not even close to XBL in service quality.

Personally, I'd rather pay a little something for PSN if that'd prompt them to give us something good

Echochrome demo is up on Japan PSN.

Featuring elegantly designed black and white drawings, Echochrome is a unique and captivating puzzle game. Echochrome challenges the player to abide by 5 simple laws of perspective, which govern how the player advances through each stage. Offering the most gameplay with the least graphics, Echochrome is likened to playing a M.C. Escher drawing. The player controls an infinite canvas, guiding a mannequin figure by carefully controlling the perspective, tilting and turning the level to create a continual pathway for the mannequin to walk safely through the design. Throughout the encounter, the mannequin will be guided by echos, or shadow guides, used as progress points to advance players along the pathway. There is no set pathway for any level in Echochrome. Players will find different and limitless ways to advance through each stage.

I really like the Echochrome demo. Its short, only contains a tutorial and 3 levels. Final game will have 50 levels and a level creator.

                            Controls:

Left or Right Stick - Spins perspective
Hold R1 - Spins perspective faster
Hold L1 - Activates motion sensor to spin perspective instead of the left or right stick
Press Triangle - Goes into "thinking mode"
Hold X - Puppet walks faster
Square - Snap the edges together to get a clean connection.
Select - Toggles timer / control instructions
                            Start - Pause
