echochrome Demoed and Dated

If there's one title out there that screams "brain freeze," it's echochrome. Tomorrow, you can crash your mental capacity thanks to the PlayStation Network demo or wait until the title's May release.

Kumi Yuasa, associate producer on echochrome, turned up on the PlayStation Blog today to let folks know that tomorrow's PSN/PlayStation PC Store update will bring a free echochrome demo for the PS3 and the PSP.

"It's a fun and addictive puzzle game with really elegant and simple graphics," Yuasa wrote. "The concept is inspired by the famous MC Escher artwork, which explores infinity, architecture and impossible constructions."

Set to hit the PlayStation 3 and the PSP this May, echochrome challenges players to manipulate perspective to help a wire-frame man get to a series of level goals. Tomorrow's demo will offer a "brief" tutorial. The final game will hold 56 exclusive levels for each of the PS3 and PSP versions and allow you to create and share your own puzzles. Levels uploaded through the PS3 will be reviewed by the developers and could be included in downloadable content updates. PSP levels will be shared via Ad Hoc.

They are only on the PS3 account service.

I saw Atlimus had the Haze guy last night so I went and looked, gave myself Altair. Pretty good ones up.

Hey guys just got a PS3. Any advice other than "read the entire thread". I already read a 68-page thread on The Show 08 "Little Things" which sparked my purchase.

I already figured out I need an HDMI cable...can't say I was excited to find that out.

echochrome is very sweet!! wow!! funny is i could not even picture this game on the 360. Anyway..this could be a silent sleeper...kudos to Sony!
