most games already have this option dont they?? some require it...

Why would we want to do that? Maybe if you did not have to have the disc in order to play is an absolute useless feature

Useless feature? Especially if in a lot of times it reduces loading times?

You can't install full games on the PS3 at all.

It would be a nice feature to have, but I don't see it as a pressing need for the PS3. It seems a lot more valuable for the 360 because their disc drives are loud and end up scratching the discs. Also the PS3 already has the partial installs for most games for slightly faster load times.

So wait whats the difference between PS3 and 360 installs?? Because I installed Pro Evolution soccer 2008 to my ps3 hard drive.. Both systems still need the CD, so there is really no point...

On the 360 the files are compressed where as on the PS3 they aren't. Therefore the PS3 installs are much bigger as the files themselves are bigger on the disc opposed to the 360 disc.

Looks like the whole store is updating TODAY, not just forSFII HD. The official blog's been updated.
