puzzle quest is an excellent game on the ds and psp

i highly recommend it if you are into rpg's and also enjoy tetris like puzzle games ( ala columns)

Puzzle Quest sounds interesting.

First thing GIGGAS... I see you on XBox Live at all hours of the night. It's nice to see that. Hit me up if you want to play anything... I work primarily nights so I'm up really late on the weekends.

As for PQ...
Puzzle Quest is Awesome!
I'm not an RPG kind of guy, but this game has made me actually like one.

Take the addictive nature of games like Bejewled, Colums, Chuzzle, etc... Line up 3, 4, or 5 of the same color in a row... BUT make it turn based. Each player has Hit Points and Skillz. Skulls will eventually appear on the playing board... line up skulls and you do damage to your opponent. All of the colors that you lineup (red, green, blue, and yellow) go to your "mana." You end up with enough Mana to do special attacks (that can attack OR defend).

You also have items that you can collect or buy that will give you better stats. You also can forge new items and learn new skills. In order to do that you have to play the same way, but instead you're hoping you can lineup enough colors, hammers, etc to get your new item or skill. The game can end if you don't have any moves that you can make left. They grade each item and skill on how hard it will be to forge or learn... so easy skills you'll get on the first try, where as skills listed as "very hard" are a crap shoot. It's fun though.

It's not a hardcore RPG, but it's a nice twist of having some story elements when you play a puzzle game like the above mentioned games.


I've got this game on my PSP and love it. Play it nearly everyday before I head off to bed... in a way that's QUITE sad.

I can't wait for the 360 version so I can play agaisnt some of you guys. Especially that rebel rouser CandymanGT.

Same here... I love XBLA if this happens... I mean, I already do (I have 25 games from XBLA on my console) but I will love it SO much. Give me crazy *** achievements and I'll be set.

It's been out for a few days.

I tried it over the weekend.

I told CandymanGT that I hated the demo, BUT after reading that the triggers make your craft bank hard on corners, I went back and played the demo over again and I'm actualy wanting to buy the game now.

It takes some time getting used to how the crafts handle. Once you get the hang of that it's like other sci-fi racers... moderately enjoyable.

Really? Been in talks about the game for over a year. Yeah, you really need to keep up. One of my more anticipated games, I set the demo to download, and will check it out when I get home.

WTF?!!!!!

It won't let me update the damn console. I try to update the console and it says "connection failed, test connection". So I go to test the connection. It confirms everything then gets to XBOX live and asks again to update the console. I say yes...it says "CONNECTION FAILED, test connection".

So how the F*** am I suppose to update the effing console if it won't let me connect to XBox live to do it?!! This is like some effed up "chicken or the egg" situation.
